We love to see community engagement like this at Woodbridge Energy Center! Thanks to the CAMS team for educating these bright campers on what it takes to supply power to 700,000+ homes and businesses. Way to go!
This month, Woodbridge Energy Center and CAMS were thrilled to host Camp Keasbey for a fun-filled and educational tour of the facility. From 10 am to 1 pm, the campers got an inside look at how the power that lights up their homes 🏡 starts right here at our power plant. The highlight of the visit was a hands-on power plant simulator and presentation where the campers took charge, balancing temperatures, fuel, and megawatts like pros💡 The day wrapped up with the plant managers and coordinators treating everyone to pizza🍕 and ice cream 🍨. The campers also received Woodbridge Energy Center's water bottles for future camping trips! Woodbridge Energy Center is a 2×1 combined-cycle power plant in Woodbridge Township, New Jersey, totaling 725 MW of capacity. Owned by Competitive Power Ventures and operated by CAMS, Woodbridge Energy Center supplies power to over 700,000 homes in the area. At CAMS, we're passionate about giving back to the #community and inspiring the next generation to learn about energy and sustainability. Thanks to the team at Woodbridge Energy Center and the O&M team at CAMS, who made this day a bright success!

⚡ CPV's Statement Regarding Today's PUCT Announcement ⚡ “Competitive Power Ventures (CPV) is honored to be selected by the Public Utility Commission of Texas for consideration in helping the state meet its growing demand for electricity through our CPV Basin Ranch Energy Center. The development and implementation of the Texas Energy Fund (TEF) was a significant draw in bringing our combined-cycle natural gas power station project to Texas. We believe TEF is a blueprint for other states across the country as they address shrinking reserve margins and associated impacts on reliability,” said Peter Podurgiel, President of CPV Low Carbon Generation. “We look forward to the next steps in the process and sharing the important role CPV Basin Ranch will play in the Texas energy landscape.”

Starting this week off with more exciting CPV news! Four of our plants received Best of the Best honors from Combined Cycle Journal 🏆 “At CPV we are constantly challenging our teams to introduce new, innovation solutions to maintain the level of excellence we’ve held ourselves to for 25 years both in terms of safety and operational efficiency. I am proud to see our approach and plants once again being recognized by industry leaders; none of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of our individual plant teams. Congratulations to the site teams on behalf of CPV and thank you to our O&M partners at CAMS, NAES Corporation, and Diamond Generating Corporation for their support. To CCJ, we thank you for this recognition,” said Joe Michienzi, SVP of Asset Management.

And we're off! Construction to begin at CPV Rogue's Wind in Pennsylvania. Upon completion, the 114 MW wind project will be our third operating site in Cambria County following CPV Maple Hill Solar and CPV Fairview Energy Center. We will soon be able to showcase all three types of generation in our operating portfolio; a testament to how we at CPV envision a reliable, low carbon electric supply needed to drive a responsible energy transition forward. https://lnkd.in/eFgn2EUR
