About us

Conestoga Valley School District is a multiple Keystone Award-winning public school district that serves a unique and changing population of some 4,300 students in grades K-12. Located just east of Lancaster City, the CV community has a population of approximately 31,000 residents living in a mix of urban areas, suburban neighborhoods, small towns and rural farmland across 56-square mile area in East Lampeter, Upper Leacock and West Earl Townships. CV is known for its excellent and caring teaching staff and strong academic programs. At the elementary level, students are offered full-day kindergarten and benefit from a comprehensive curriculum of math, language arts, science and social studies, as well as music, art and physical education programs. Library, media and technology programs support all instructional areas. Highlights at the secondary level include Advanced Placement (AP) courses, college-in-the-high school and dual enrollment courses, award-winning arts programs, growing world language offerings (including Spanish, Latin and Chinese) and a physical education and health program recognized as a leader in best practices. Conestoga Valley employs nearly 600 individuals as teachers, administrators, supervisors and support staff. Its school board oversees an annual budget of approximately $60 million, while maintaining the third-lowest property tax rate among Lancaster County schools.
