Each year, countless lives are lost to suicide, often in places where help is just a moment away. That’s why suicide prevention signage on bridges is so essential. These signs act as lifelines, reminding those in crisis that they’re not alone and encouraging them to seek help. Since 2017, the CT Suicide Advisory Board's Lethal Means Committee has partnered with Connecticut State Department of Children & Families, Connecticut Department of Public Health, Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Connecticut Department of Transportation, United Way of CT and others to install suicide prevention signage across the state. We’re thrilled to announce that new signs were recently placed along the Glastonbury and Wethersfield sides of the bike path that spans the Putnam Bridge. Learn more ➡️ www.preventsuicidect.org
