    Why don't I answer all the messages in the Linkedin DM? Why are there messages you skip over and others you read immediately? I rattled off a few technical event marketing tactics, and reference our overall strategy. But I believe the biggest reason we excelled at the event, is how we lived our mission to unlock meaningful growth, how brought our brand to life, and how the New Breed team, mission and brand made people feel. I also believe mission driven brand strategies that inspire your entire community is what sets the best apart and even more critical in the crowded, disruptive and challenging environment we are all in today. Regardless if you are b-to-b, b-to-c, ABM, or PLG. Regardless if you are just implementing a CRM for the first time, or leading the way with integrating AI into your business processes. We are all human, and we are all buyers. The picture below is the swing set of one of the people we met at INBOUND.     #ClimateWeek has got me hopping around NYC to different events, and hunting for good coffee (🇦🇺🇦🇺, sorry USA…) to fuel me. Today - less about problems and solutions in #wateraccess, and more about business and community partnerships for #ClimateJustice. I enjoyed a fantastic panel session and listening to experiences of actors and activists working at the local community level in the US. They reminded us of the power of #local to address #climatechange. Rai-mon Nemar Barnes @ Consciously® put it very well when he said that “frontline communities” are actually just “communities”, oftentimes seeking equity and true partnership by working with partners who are prepared to listen deeply to what communities have to say - not by being lectured by those who think that they understand all the problems and have all the solutions. Thank you to B Lab Project Drawdown and Forum for the Future for hosting a great session.

    B Lab U.S. & Canada supports the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) final rule titled “The Enhancement and Standardization of Climate Related Disclosures for Investors”. 👏🏾 (and there's a "but" coming ...) We applaud the SEC’s efforts to ensure investors and companies can better navigate climate risks through standardized corporate disclosures. However, while we believe the rule is a step in the right direction, we regret the removal of Scope 3 and the weakening of Scope 1 and 2 GHG Emissions disclosure requirements in the final rule. It’s essential and inevitable that all climate risks will eventually be discussed. These latest rules are an important next step in disclosing one of the biggest risks for businesses. Certain regions, like California, have gone beyond these requirements and it's evident every business will eventually be required to provide full transparency of its climate risk when making decisions. Scope 3 emissions represent the vast majority of businesses’ climate impacts and are fundamental to determining a company’s performance and its management of climate issues. This information is vital to investors who believe that successfully managing portfolios requires an understanding of systemic risks like climate change. Although some folks argue that measuring Scope 3 emissions is too difficult for businesses, especially smaller businesses, members our community of Certified B Corporations #BCorps demonstrate that is not the case. Additionally, allowing individual companies to determine whether their Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions are material will not alleviate the current confusion around disclosure differences across companies. We strongly encourage the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Congress to consider future action for more comprehensive and globally aligned disclosure requirements, including Scope 3 emissions and stronger requirements for Scope 1 and 2 disclosures. #climatedisclosure #sec #businessasaforceforgood Learn more about the SEC's final rule on climate-related disclosures for investors here: https://lnkd.in/e4KC_g7C
