Pennsylvania’s Schuylkill River provides the main water source that enables our Limerick Clean Energy Center to reliably produce enough emissions-free electricity to power more than 1.7 million homes. We’re partnering with Schuylkill River Greenways, NHA to remove debris, restore the river's natural flow and improve habitats for aquatic and land species. The effort is one of 35 nonprofit-led conservation projects in our nuclear plant communities supported by our CLEAN Environment Awards.

We continue to invest in the nation’s largest fleet of emissions-free generation and that includes at our Muddy Run Pumped Storage facility in Pennsylvania. Recently, crews lifted a 90-ton headcover from Unit 2’s turbine so it could be shipped off for refurbishing. The effort is just one part of a major overhaul to ensure the site operates at peak performance.
