Her proudest moment? Becoming Team Lead Sr. and helping set others up for success. For Laura, there’s nothing more fulfilling than contributing to American-made products. Meet Jung Hwan Lee, a CNC Set-Up I operator at CoorsTek Korea, based in Gumi. With 3 years of experience in the Semi OEM Solution industry, Jung Hwan turned his passion for making things, sparked by his father’s advice, into a career in manufacturing. As part of the CNC MILL team, Jung Hwan loves the process of transforming 2D drawings and programs into tangible 3D products, taking pride in every project that matches his vision. For him, manufacturing is the foundation of a nation’s industry, and machining is a unique and rewarding craft. His advice for aspiring manufacturers: "Build a strong foundation, collaborate, and develop problem-solving skills to become a recognized talent in the field." Meet Patricia Banuelos, a dedicated Metrologist II at CoorsTek in Benton, Arkansas. With nearly 10 years of experience in manufacturing (aerospace, defense, semiconductors, and advanced armor), Patricia is passionate about how things are made and driven by the desire to continuously improve her skills. Her role includes calibrating tools, analyzing measurement data, managing equipment inventory, and ensuring traceability. What’s the most interesting part of her job? Helping solve problems and supporting her team. Meet Matt Trembley, a dedicated Dry Press Set Up III at CoorsTek, based in Paris, Ontario, Canada. With over 10 years of experience in the technical ceramics industry, Matt's role involves hands-on critical thinking, operating hydraulic presses, troubleshooting, and ensuring product quality. What Matt loves most about manufacturing? The daily challenges that push him to think outside the norm and the sense of fulfillment that comes with a job well done. His advice to kids considering manufacturing? "Don’t let anyone tell you you're not capable. Set goals, work hard, and never stop learning." To manufacturers, he suggests fostering interest by motivating, promoting, and rewarding hard work.

Our team in Japan recently organized a baseball game at a stadium in Hadano City, Kanagawa Prefecture, near our facility. The weather was ideal for the sport, and the players had a great time participating in the event. Teams from our three locations—Tokyo, Kariya, and Hadano—competed against each other, with the Kariya team emerging victorious with two wins. The game brought smiles to everyone’s faces with both impressive and amusing plays. The Kariya team featured six new employees, all of whom gave lively performances. In the 1980s, a subsidiary of Coors Porcelain, Coors Biomedical Company, developed the Cerestore Crown, a metal-free ceramic for use in crown restoration in dentistry. Cerestore was a pioneer in using new materials and forming methods for crowns, and it was the first non-shrink ceramic product produced in dentistry. Coors Biomedical was dissolved in 1991.  Today CoorsTek has another subsidiary, CoorsTek Bioceramics, that focuses on total joint replacements including ceramic bearing components for Total Hip Arthroplasty, using state-of-the-art materials developed specifically for use in orthopaedic applications.
