“We designed a product that we believe to not be contingent on who’s in the White House. We’re getting dangerous pollutants out of people’s homes. We’re allowing people to have more agency over their energy and increasing consumer choice. All these things are bipartisan." Our CEO Sam Calisch shares how we're preparing for a new administration. We’re excited to welcome Audrey L., our marketing manager, to Copper! She’ll power up our content engine to spread the joy of induction. From now on, most posts you see here will be from her. If you have any questions about making the switch from gas to induction or Copper in general, share them in the comments below so Audrey can add them to her list!

What would be your message to the future? We're moving to a new office. Before filling in the floor of the new place, one of the Copper kids helped us bury a time capsule. Inside, it has tokens and messages about our world today, and how we hope to make it a better place. Hopefully by the time it is dug up, fossil fuel machines will be a thing of the past, and pieces of them will feel like fossils themselves.

Tonight, families across the Bay Area will be cooking on a Copper range. Here is the story of one. Rahul’s gas range broke 21 months ago. He didn’t want another gas stove, but the cost to rewire his home for induction was way too high. Because of this, his family ended up cooking on an induction hot plate and convection toaster oven for close to two years. But last month, Rahul got his Charlie. Here is his daughter Ione showing off her pumpkin bread she baked the day they got their new range. She said, "The oven worked perfectly and baked my pumpkin bread precisely on-time. And I think the blue interior is soooo beautiful!" If you want to join Rahul and Ione, you can reserve your range here: https://lnkd.in/gat6Gune

Honestly, the thrill of helping people retire gas just doesn't get old. :). I joined our crew on their deliveries today and am feeling all charged up.

I’m not one to post on social media and I’m even quieter when it concerns my career. So it says something about how excited I am in my work at Copper that I’m making this post. Days at the Copper workshop have been filled with a blend of a number of my interests – energy storage systems, renewable and affordable energy access, and cooking delicious meals. Never before have I felt this way about an appliance; the induction range we’ve been working on, the Charlie, is really pretty. And it cooks like it was made by people who care about cooking. And you can plug it into a standard 110 V wall outlet. I’m proud of what we’re building and excited to see it in more and more homes. I think, though, that my favorite aspect of this workplace is the people. There is a culture of care for each other, for the world around us, and for community. There’s a value of living well here – not just producing but creating a place we care about and like to be. I feel immense gratitude for everyone who I work with for helping make these last 9 months a special experience in my life. There’s an important value here at Copper: make room at the table. Currently, there’s a seat opening up on the firmware team. If you care about embedded systems and any of the things above resonate with you, apply here! https://lnkd.in/eGy_uZT8

Award-winning Chef Samin Nosrat, author of the cookbook Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat, now cooks on a Copper range. We’ve been so honored to have Samin advising us and cooking on a Charlie range since last winter. We worked with her to build the induction range she wanted in her home. A range with knobs for intuitive, precise control. A tough industrial build to hold up to heavy use. A powerful and precise oven. We’re confident you’ll enjoy Samin’s contributions to the design and development of our range. If you want to follow in her footsteps, you can pre-order a Charlie range for your kitchen today --> https://lnkd.in/gat6Gune
