News is out! We pre-empted SirenOpt's Seed round, joining the stellar team of Jared O'Leary, Ali Mesbah and John Busch on their journey to dramatically improve the efficiency of advanced manufacturing. Co-led with our friends at Tomorrow | Visionaries Club, this raise enables SirenOpt to accelerate their phenomenal traction across a number of multi-billion-dollar manufacturing markets, including semiconductors, electronics, batteries, and aerospace. SirenOpt's manufacturing intelligence product non-destructively collects materials properties and otherwise unobtainable manufacturing data on quality and yield. By enabling factories to measure what was previously unmeasurable, SirenOpt is unlocking extraordinary gains in production efficiency and enabling manufacturers to mitigate manufacturing variability in real-time. Thanks to Katie Fehrenbacher and Axios for breaking the news! https://lnkd.in/gB47Fd4K

Voyager is proud to be an investor in Copper, recently featured in The Wall Street Journal for its innovative approach to home electrification. Copper's battery-powered oven and induction cooktop enable homeowners to switch from gas to electric cooking without costly electrical upgrades. By removing this significant barrier, Copper is accelerating the transition to homes that run on cleaner, safer, and more durable sources of energy. Beyond its obvious climate benefits, Copper’s ranges provide a best-in-class cooking experience and avert indoor methane and carbon monoxide pollution in homes. We've tried the Copper ranges ourselves and the cooking experience is amazing - it's why the best chefs in the world are increasingly switching to induction. We look forward to seeing Sam, Eric, Tucker and the Copper team improve kitchens across the US and around the world! https://lnkd.in/gHYCHUuy

Rice cultivation generates an emissions footprint equivalent to global aviation. Today, we are proud to announce Voyager's investment in Mitti Labs' first institutional round, backing the stellar founding team of Xavier Laguarta Soler, Devdut Dalal and Nathan T. in their ambition to decarbonize rice production worldwide. We look forward to working alongside the brilliant Hemant Mohapatra and our friends at Lightspeed India to support Mitti's important work. https://lnkd.in/gPBPs8e4
🌏 We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our climate-smart projects which are supporting 30,000 small-holder rice farmers across India. 🌾 At Mitti Labs, we’re reimagining rice projects from the ground up to develop the most transparent and trustworthy methane reduction programs - empowering companies to invest in #nature confidently.Through our projects, we have seen farmers reduce #water usage by 40%, #methane emissions by 50%, and improve incomes by up to 30% We are grateful for our investors at Lightspeed India and Voyager Ventures, who co-led our $3 million funding round last year, and for the support from our incredible angel investors, friendly advisors, and the partners dedicated to supporting us on-ground. This investment allowed us to launch the first remote-sensing based solution for #rice methane monitoring and measurement, as well as to scale our operations across 7 key rice-growing states in India. We’re only getting started and have an incredibly passionate team working tirelessly to support small-holder rice farmers in adopting climate-smart practices across #India & #SoutheastAsia! In the US alone, simply installing solar on warehouse roofs has the potential to generate 186 TWh of power every year, nearly enough to power all US data centres. What if we could financially incentivise commercial roofspace owners to install solar whilst offering nearby energy-hungry businesses like data centres cheap and zero-carbon electricity? InRange makes it effortless and financially obvious for building owners to install solar across their commercial properties, transforming rooftops into valuable electricity-generating assets. We're delighted for John Mushriqui and the InRange team for their coverage in today's The Wall Street Journal highlighting InRange's incredible work with the global data center operator Iron Mountain and InRange's £100M debt facility that will fund deployments across 300 buildings and 20 customers. https://lnkd.in/gZqfmu-E
Thank you to the The Wall Street Journal's editor Ed Ballard for highlighting InRange's misson in the latest Climate Newsletter. We're turning #commercial rooftops into #power plants to supply megawatts of local clean energy for data centers such as Iron Mountain Data Centers. Low on-site demand, short leases, and misaligned incentives between landlords and tenants have led to only 5% of adoption of solar for warehouses in the US and Europe. We're on a mission to change that and deliver megawatts of carbon-free #electricity to the local grid. Read the newsletter here: https://lnkd.in/dKRPvGwx Prologis, Target, Kristin G. The chemicals industry makes modern life possible: from our materials to our food, the global economy would not exist without industrial chemicals. It's also one of the most difficult sectors to decarbonize. In Voyager’s latest letter, we investigate the paths to producing chemicals and materials without fossil fuels, and the new opportunities this shift enables. https://lnkd.in/gJnvdy9F
