Two Corgan LA interiors team members, Jessica HaYoung Shin, IIDA, ASID, LEED GA and Ivette Ruy Sanchez, were selected for Interior Design Magazine 30 Under 30 award, and we couldn’t be prouder! In addition to being recognized for their excellence in the design industry, these two are also now part of an exclusive program. Modular construction is being used at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to complete a concourse widening project — an innovative approach that allows the world’s busiest airport to stay fully operational. Giant modular sections are being prefabricated offsite and transported by high-tech equipment. Corgan in partnership with Goode Van Slyke Architecture is facilitating the planning, architecture, and interior design on this incredible project.

Interior Design Magazine unveiled their Top 100 Giants of Design for 2025, and Corgan is excited to be ranked 7th this year, earning a top spot amongst other prominent design firms. The annual Giants list is one of the most anticipated and respected in the design industry and we are honored to once again earn recognition for doing what we love - creating beautiful spaces.

Today we are celebrating Corgan 87th birthday! In 1938, Jack Corgan founded our company with the same focus that we have today – turning an uncanny ability to anticipate client needs into powerful and responsive design solutions. Corgan has achieved so much in its 87 years, including some big industry firsts: first use of the moving walkway in an airport, first use of a monorail at an airport, first architect firm headquarters to be WELL certified, and first architectural firm to win the “American Business Ethics Award”. The future is bright here at Corgan and we are excited for more innovative firsts to come!

Iron Mountain Data Centers AZP-2 — a Corgan designed data center in Phoenix, Arizona, is the first new construction data center in North America to earn a BREEAM Excellent rating for sustainability. We spoke with Corgan’s project manager Elizabeth Vaughan to discuss the strategies and benefits of pursuing sustainable data center design. Building Design+Construction Media has announced their Top Workplace Interior Architecture Firms for 2024, and Corgan is honored to have been ranked number 9 out of the top 180 firms - a four-spot jump from 13th in 2023. Not every facility that needs improvements has the budget for a full overhaul, so improving users’ satisfaction requires a strategic approach. Corgan's research and innovation team Hugo sought a system to employ data to evaluate the user experience, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations that can help clients optimize their facility while considering available resources and funding. Corgan collaborated with Texas architects Lake|Flato Architects a massive expansion for San Antonio International Airport, which will include a 17-gate terminal. The airport design keeps with the vibrant culture of San Antonio, referencing the geography and historic architecture of the city, and will even include a riverwalk inspired landscape to greet passengers.
