We are a recognized leader in strategic capacity building programs that combine technical expertise with flexible, locally driven solutions across the areas of CBRNE security and nonproliferation, global health, strategic trade controls, cybersecurity, innovation, and international professional exchanges. We ensure mission success by tailoring responsive solutions drawing on our extensive regional and local knowledge of culture and geopolitical factors.     CRDF Global hosted its 10th annual Breaking Barriers: Women in Science & Security event on September 26, 2024, bringing together 100+ participants from 38 countries around the world to share insights, experiences and resources, and strengthen the ever-growing network of women around the world committed to supporting each other’s advancement in STEM and CBRN fields. "For our 10th anniversary, we’ve kept the best of what we’ve learned over 10 years, focusing on broadening access to professional development opportunities, creating regional peer networks, and linking women with regional and international role models to serve as mentors," said CRDF Global President and Chief Operating Officer Tina Dolph in her opening remarks. CRDF Global was honored to welcome Dr. Patricia Gruber Science and Technology Adviser to the United States Secretary of State, as the keynote speaker. "At the State Department, we really recognize that Science & Technology leadership is one of our greatest diplomatic strengths," she stated in her address, and closed by urging attendees to "not only lead by example, but...also bring others to the table where we found a seat, because we know the value that diverse voices bring to innovation, leadership and national security."     ▶💻📱 Livestream with us tomorrow! On September 21, the Sustained Dialogue on Peaceful Uses (SDPU), facilitated by CRDF Global, is partnering with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and delegations from the United States and Senegal to host the “Atoms for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” side event at the United Nations (UN) Summit of the Future. The side event will focus on the role of the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, science, and technology as a tool to address the effects of climate change and other challenges of the future. Additionally, the side event will cover innovations in nuclear science and technology that will help address SDGs such as food security (SDG 2), good health (SDG 3), access to water (SDG 6), clean energy (SDG 7), and ocean health (SDG 14). The side event will consist of a keynote presentation from Dr. Lisa Randall, Harvard University, on the role of science in addressing SDGs, a video presentation from the IAEA on their approach to addressing climate change-induced challenges through science and technology, and a panel discussion. Moderated by Dr. Randall, the panel discussion will include contributions from Dr. Najat Mokhtar of the IAEA, Ambassador Bonnie Jenkins from the U.S. Department of State, Minister Birame Souleye DIOP of Senegal’s Ministry of Energy, Oil, and Mines, Dr. Miriam Mutebi, MD,MSc,FACS from Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dr. Sasha Rubel from Amazon Web Services. The side event will begin at 9:45 AM EDT and conclude at 11:00 AM EDT. It will take place at the UN headquarters in room CR1 in New York, NY, USA.     Last week I participated in the Latin American Cybersecurity Summit, a meeting of CISO's #LATAMCISO24 Guanacaste, Costa Rica🇨🇷 organized by #DigiAmericas #LATAMCISO It was a fantastic two days of sharing information to strengthen the cyber resilience of this critical region. Thank you to #DigiAmericas for bringing together an impressive cadre of leaders to discuss the increasing threats experienced by LATAM countries and more importantly the success we are having in combating those threats. I enjoyed having the opportunity to discuss the impact of AI in designing national cyber resilience infrastructures here and globally. CRDF Global is honored to be partnered with the U.S. Department of State, Paula Bogantes, local partners and world class technology companies to strengthen Costa Rica’s cyber resilience, ensuring the safety of its citizens and the region.
