Creative Girls Rock® 2024 Songwriting Camp Recap During this 8-week program, teen girls (ages 12-17) developed their skills and expressed themselves creatively. The goal of this program is to provide a fun, supportive environment where young females musicians can explore their creativity and develop their songwriting skills. All participants have the opportunity to visit the Sony Music Entertainment Nashville to work with some of Sony’s top executives; and, Notes For Notes studio to have their very own recording session! https://lnkd.in/eJFCkcRu

Meet our #CGR Youth Development Innovator Award Honoree, Dr. Tonja Williams 💐 Dr. Williams is a seasoned educational leader with nearly 30 years of experience in both independent and public schools. She has led prestigious institutions, including New Hope Academy and Head Magnet Middle School, achieving top honors and securing substantial grant funding. A dedicated advocate for innovative curricula, faculty development, and community engagement, she has also launched successful mentoring programs. Dr. Williams, a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, has earned multiple accolades, including the 2022 Outstanding Principal of the Year Award. Meet our Creative Girls Rock® Women Empowerment Innovator Award Honoree, Johari Matthews, Vice President and Executive Director of ONE Community and the Tennessee Titans ONE Foundation A Nashville native and Tennessee State University alumna, Johari launched the ONE Community initiative to uplift underserved communities in Middle TN. With 18 years at the YMCA of Middle Tennessee under her belt, she’s led impactful projects like the $6.5M BlueCross BlueShield Healthy Place Park. Johari also serves on various boards and was recognized as one of Nashville’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2020 and a 2024 ‘Ten People to Watch’. Of all her roles, being a wife and mom tops the list! 💐Meet our 2024 CGR Creative Arts Innovator Award Honoree, Jennifer Turner, President and CEO of the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) in Nashville. 💐 With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit arts, Jennifer has been instrumental in welcoming over 14 million visitors to TPAC since its founding in 1980. She is a voting member of The Broadway League and serves on its committees, while also contributing to various boards including the Nashville Downtown Partnership and Friends Life Community. Jennifer's impressive career includes leadership roles at Segerstrom Center for the Arts and the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago. She holds degrees in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management.
