Thank you Colleen Bielitz, Ph.D. for a fantastic conversation with our staff earlier this week. To recognize Women's History Month, we focused the March Conscious Conversation on amplifying the female voice, in STEM and beyond. It was an eye-opening discussion and has created great conversation around the organization. Thank you Dr. Bielitz!

I had a great time sharing the importance of amplifying the female voice at the Connecticut Science Center yesterday. Thanks to their amazing team Jennifer Black, Kelsey Rogers Sean Nadeau and everyone who attended this session. I was happy to share Southern Connecticut State University's R2 status and the Million Women Mentors CT Chapter event happening at the Science Center on March 20th! #LeadingtheWay

🚀 From field tripper to STEM entrepreneur—Luke St. Amand’s journey has come full circle! As a kid, Luke visited the Connecticut Science Center on a school trip, and that spark of curiosity never left. Fast forward to today: he landed a dream job, became a co-founder of Lectec, and scored a deal on Shark Tank with an innovative STEM education kit! Read how his Science Center experience shaped his path and led him to inspire the next generation of engineers. ⬇️ "I visited the Connecticut Science Center in 2012 as part of a sixth-grade field trip from Timothy Edwards Middle School in South Windsor. When I walked in, I was like a kid in a candy shop because there were so many things to touch and experience. Every time I'd pass the Science Center, I’d remember that moment, and it stuck with me. After pursuing a STEM major in college, I was lucky enough to land a dream job at Amazon, but when my friend invited me to join Lectec to help inspire the next generation of engineers by giving them what we wish we had back when we were in school, I knew I had to take that step. Everything came full circle when I was able to showcase our STEM kits at Pathways to STEM Night hosted by the Connecticut Science Center. It was a privilege to make an impact in my own backyard, and at the very place that gave me so much.” 📖 Learn more about Luke’s journey to Shark Tank: https://lnkd.in/eF9gD-RV Lectec
