Yesterday, 160 Crowe Soberman employees gathered for an enlightening education session led by Rebecca Lazarenko and Esther Li from CultureAlly. The presentation offered a comprehensive overview of Canada’s residential school system, highlighting the enduring effects on survivors and the families of those subjected to this painful experience. It emphasized the ongoing impacts of intergenerational trauma and systemic oppression, while also celebrating the resilience and success of various Indigenous communities who continue to thrive despite these challenges. The session concluded by providing valuable insights on allyship and the tangible steps we can take to create a more inclusive future.
