"Fresh start is not just a laundry detergent. It’s the start of another school year and soaking in the positivity and energy on campus makes me feel very motivated. However, as I alluded to earlier, my self-confidence is not quite where it needs to be, and I feel a step slow. Perhaps it’s the hiking shoes I’m wearing, which are heavier than my sneakers. Anyway, I am committed to doing the following, and I urge you to consider similar steps. ·  Set specific goals. ·  Make better use of my time. ·  Find places to work that bring out the best in me. ·  Exercise my mind by reading and listening to new things. ·  Live as much as possible in the moment and focus on what I need to do to accomplish the task in front of me. ·  Ask others for help as needed."

Congratulations to Dr. Troy Pollard! Yesterday, he was awarded the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA) 2024 Educator of the Year Award. Dr. Pollard’s dedication to our students and department make him more than a worthy recipient of this award. He always looks for ways to enchance the student experience and make things more fun!
