Imagine a Day Without Water Today, we reflect on the importance of clean and reliable water. Whether it's for drinking, cooking, or maintaining public health, water is fundamental to our daily lives. At California Water Association (CWA), we are grateful for our members who work around the clock to ensure that communities across California have access to this essential resource. But ensuring a secure water future requires more than just daily operations—investing in water infrastructure is crucial to maintaining and upgrading systems that deliver clean water. Let’s continue to value, protect, and invest in water infrastructure to ensure no one ever experiences a day without water. #ImagineADayWithoutWater #ValueWater #CWACommunity #WaterInfrastructure #WaterConservation #SustainableWater #CleanWaterForAll

About us
The California Water Association (CWA) represents regulated water utilities that are invested in California water and the future of our state. There are over 90 regulated water utilities across California serving more than 6 million customers. Our members are water professionals who live and work in the communities they serve. They’re dedicated to building water infrastructure, supporting the sustainability of our natural resources, and delivering clean and reliable drinking water to customers and communities across California. CWA member companies are regulated by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), an independent state agency responsible for establishing utility rates and guidelines for service. The CPUC shares responsibility for regulating drinking water quality with the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB). CWA works with members to inform regulation that impacts our members and the customers they serve, while sharing our expertise with the CPUC, SWRCB, and other policy makers.
