Providing Justice and Restoring Hope
About us
The mission of Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) is to improve the lives of abused children in Dallas County and to provide national leadership on child abuse issues. DCAC coordinates the investigation and prosecution of the most severe cases of child abuse in our community. Last year DCAC served over 7,300 children (and their non-offending family members) who were sexually abused, severely physically abused, or who had witnessed a violent crime. DCAC provides a warm, child-friendly environment to help children who are referred by law enforcement or CPS. Our average client is a 9-year-old girl, sexually abused by someone she knows and trusts.

While this week may provide a break from the heat, it's important to remember that a parked car can heat up quickly! While it might not feel super hot outside, the temperature inside your car can rise by almost 20° in 10 minutes. Always double-check that children and pets are not left unattended inside parked cars, and in case of emergency, call 911. We hope everyone is having a fun and safe summer! ☀️ #dallascac #dcac #cactx #summersafety #carsafety
