Sometimes waking up is hard to do. Whether you're having a good dream or are tucked in tight during the cold winter months, you may be reluctant to get moving. Here are some tips to help you set yourself up for success. If these tips aren't working, you may have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). This is a dangerous medical condition which, if not treated, can lead to increased risks of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and other health issues. Fortunately, OSA is fairly easy to treat. If you think you have OSA, our pulmonology team can evaluate you and may order a sleep study to see how we can help get you back to better health. We love giving back to our community. This past Sunday, our hospital provided more than 800 steaks and 200 chicken breasts for students attending the Mayor's Annual High School Football Banquet. Schools from all over the area participated, and several of our team members volunteered to cook all of the steaks and chicken onsite. It was a hot and sweaty day for the cooking team, but well worth it to see how much these student athletes enjoyed the experience.

Even though we're in the middle of summer and there are more than eight hours of sunlight each day, many people still may not receive enough vitamin D. This may be because we're staying inside because of the heat, we work indoors, or maybe work the night shift. Luckily, there are plenty of vitamin D supplements around, but make sure you know the differences. If you have questions about vitamins, supplements, diet, exercise, or anything health related, our primary care team is ready to help. Visit https://lnkd.in/gfEtvypj for clinic information.
