Great job from the entire CARD and DataTecnica LLC teams at the NIA Annual retreat. Exciting presentation from Owen Bianchi filling in for Benjamin Danek showcasing CARD.AI, the automated dementia research assistant the team has been working on to improve knowledge transfer and decrease research activation energy for the NIH's Center for Alzheimer's and Related Dementias. In the image below he shows massive gains after switching from pinecone to BM25 that enhance RAG accuracy significantly. CARD.AI is a hyper-collaborative effort with many team members contributing such as Chelsea Alvarado, Maya W., Andy Henrie, Andrew Singleton, Cory Weller, Mary Makarious, Gracelyn Hill, Anant Dadu, Mathew Koretsky, Hampton Leonard, Hirotaka Iwaki, Nicole Kuznetsov, Syed Islamuddin Shah, Shekoofeh Mokhtari, Daniel Khashabi and Faraz Faghri.
