Thanks to @fionarosemurphy for her piece about faith leaders protesting at CitiBank this summer. Dayenu's Rabbi Jacob Siegel later joined a meeting with officials at CitiBank, where they had no justification for investing in new fossil fuel projects. As we were pummeled by a series of climate disasters just these past few weeks, we wonder what it will take for the financial industry -- and policymakers -- to wake up to the urgency for big, bold climate action. The climate crisis is HERE. What do we need to do to get it into the campaign conversation? No excuse not to raise it during tonight's debate 📣 100%! Hurricane Helene's devastation is still unfolding, and heartbreaking. And science tells us that these climate disasters will only become more frequent and severe as the climate crisis worsens. We'll be watching to see if the debate moderators and participants give the climate crisis its proper air time! 👀
