I've *never* been anti-alcohol, and I'll probably never identify as sober.
...but, the updated research on alcohol continues to blow my mind.
The research shared with my parents' generation said that red wine was good for heart health.
On a road trip during the holidays a year ago, my family laughed at me & my "propaganda" when I forced everyone to listen to an Andrew Huberman podcast on the negative effects of alcohol.
And now, this research has made its way out of (admittedly) extreme Venice wellness junkies:
“The most consistent finding across all the science is that, generally speaking, the less you drink, the better you are off health-wise,” per the Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research director at the University of Victoria.
…Debunking the myth that red wine is good for heart health.
According to a Gallup poll released this week, almost half of Americans say that having 1 or 2 alcoholic drinks a day is bad for a person’s health.
This survey has been conducted 10x since 2001, and this is the highest % of people ever recorded.
I've gotten some of my family members to buy into a *truer* definition of moderation.. and will keep working on the rest!!
