Full circle moment, as I owe so much of my inspiration for designing the experience of Kin Euphorics to my time designing wellness oriented content and programming in the #hospitality space over 10 years ago. Thank you to the FFiH for this recognition and thank you to my partners that continue to champion Kin in the space across their many esteemed hotels, bars, and restaurant concepts. Jen Batchelor is co-founder and CEO of Kin Euphorics. According to an interview in Dry Atlas, "Batchelor grew up in Saudi Arabia, where her dad's moonshine-fueled house parties showed her how drink can bring people together. But, as she came to see alcohol itself as a disconnective force, she set out to redefine the drinking ritual." Kin Euphorics is a science-backed line of functional beverages designed to enhance mood and reduce cravings without alcohol. Trained in Ayurvedic medicine, Batchelor specializes in the intersection of psychotropic herbs and the psychology of trauma and addiction. From the FFiH member who nominated her, "I heard her speak at an ILC event and loved her creation story for the product. Other than wanting to create an alternative to alcohol that was healthier and better for you, she was at a bar and saw a woman arrive early and speak to a bartender. This woman then said to the bartender that she will be coming later with a man and even though she will be ordering gin and tonics, to only serve her club soda. The founder was very moved by the story and asked the woman why - as they were talking through it, Jen felt like there needed to be an alternative at bars that women would be safe to request and not be ostracized for." #WomenBuiltThis #SmashTheCeiling #WHM2025 *** March is Women's History Month, and we are celebrating by sharing the inspirational stories and quotes that inspire our members. The knock on a lot of "influencer" brands is that they're all style and no substance. Which is why Jen Batchelor made sure that her brand, Kin Euphorics, had an amazing, ground-breaking product from the jump. Let's dig in to how Jen and Kin Euphorics defied conventional wisdom and tapped into something really amazing. #sobercurious #nonalcoholicdrinks #functionalbeverages #KinEuphorics

I want to express my deep appreciation to the good folks at BeverageDaily for giving me a place to share the breadth of our work at Kin Euphorics. Euphorics (the recreational use of nootropics enhanced with adaptogens and functional mushrooms) crossing over from negligible niche to mainstream norm over the last year or so has been bittersweet for me. I have always said that to have been given a chance to not only innovate but to breakthrough in this very competitive and noisy industry is enough for me. But there have been some players entering the space that are co-opting the heart of our hard won effort and then denigrating it with shady sales practices, subpar ingredients, copycat branding and nonexistent bioavailability conning & confusing not only the consumer and the retail buyer but cheating themselves too. Creating something from a place of authenticity has more rewards than topline revenue. Doing the right thing for the consumer helps them (priority one in my book) and also makes it easier for the industry itself to uphold our integrity. Both of these things can also be extremely difficult to do and can come with tradeoffs. But if I've learned anything, it's that in this life we choose our hard. It's important to make sure that after we cash our checks we can still sleep well at night. If you're looking to launch something in this space, know now that I'm here for you. I made many a left turn while crawling the unchartered path, if there's a pothole I can save you from let me. And if my only work from here is to keep leading by example proving that choosing the customer first is a winning strategy, then I guess I'll be sticking around for awhile longer. To those rising up, failing, and getting up again- I see you. Rooting for you now and always. Kin, Kin! Good reads below: https://lnkd.in/g8c7-Nsm

🌿 Adaptogenic Ingredients: The Rising Stars of Functional Food & Drink 🌟 As health-conscious consumers continue to seek natural solutions to modern day challenges, adaptogens are taking centre stage in the world of functional foods and beverages. These powerhouse ingredients, derived from herbs and mushrooms, have a unique ability to support the body in adapting to physical, mental, and environmental stressors. So, why are adaptogens such a buzzword in wellness circles? Here’s what’s driving their popularity: ✅ Stress Support: In our fast-paced world, adaptogens like ashwagandha and rhodiola are celebrated for helping to balance cortisol levels, making it easier to stay calm under pressure. ✅ Boosted Energy & Focus: Ingredients such as ginseng and cordyceps are finding their way into energy drinks, snacks, and even coffee alternatives, offering a sustainable lift without the jitters. ✅ Better Sleep: Adaptogens like reishi mushroom and holy basil (tulsi) can help calm the mind and promote deeper, more restorative sleep. This surge in demand reflects a broader trend: consumers want products that work harder for their health, blending natural benefits with convenience. From adaptogenic teas and lattes to protein bars and smoothies, functional foods are no longer just about nutrition; they’re about enhancing performance and longevity. As we continue to navigate a world that demands more from us, adaptogens may just be the ally we’ve been looking for. Below are a few examples of brands we've noticed who are really upping the ante when it comes to adaptogenic snacking! People are craving experiences that feel purposeful. Rituals are no longer confined to traditions—they’re shaping how we engage with brands, communities, and learning experiences. Let’s talk about Kin Euphorics, a pioneer in the wellness experience. They could have been just another spritz company, but no. Their tagline? "A functional beverage for modern rituals." They’re not just offering a drink—they’re offering an invitation to approach daily moments with intention. See the difference? It’s not just about the narrative. They’re rooted in Ayurvedic principles and powered by nootropics, following the trends of non-alcoholic alternatives (which I personally love) and holistic health. I experimented with three blends, each designed to align with a specific state of being: ✨ Quiet your mind with a drink to support peaceful sleep. ✨ Awaken your mind with clean energy for the day ahead. ✨ Light your heart with ingredients that spark creativity and joy. What stands out is how they’ve tapped into our need for grounding rituals in an era that often feels overwhelming and disconnected. ✍ The Takeaway for Builders of Communities, Brands, and Learning Experiences: 👉 Rituals are memorable: They help people anchor behaviors and experiences into their daily lives. 👉 They connect deeply: Rituals foster a sense of purpose and belonging, making the experience feel personal. 👉 They encourage participation: A well-designed ritual becomes a shared act, creating cohesion and engagement within communities. This trend isn’t going away. I've got to know Kin through Gabriela's secret Santa, but I'd love to hear about more examples like it. Do you know any brands or communities that are embracing this deeply human and profound concept?
