We've been enjoying crisp autumn days in #Waltham as we stride toward the completion of Leland House for 2Life Communities! On the outside, we're welcoming plant deliveries for the building's landscaping and finishing up covered porches, while working hard to nail the details inside this 68-unit affordable senior living community. Built to #PassiveHouse standards, Leland House is as sustainable as it will be beautiful. Check out some exteriors of the building, in addition to a snapshot of the #DellbrookJKS project team who is making it all happen: Nick Lepore, Seth Aronson, and Aidan Murphy From framing to preliminary finals find more Leland House construction photos here: https://bit.ly/44boJp3 #Architect: PCA

Dellbrook | JKS reposted this
I’m thinking a lot right now about the many people impacted by the devastating hurricanes in Florida. We have so much to be grateful for - including opportunities to help others. It was a privilege to be joined by New England Patriots, leaders from Dellbrook | JKS - a Patriots Foundation cornerstone partner - and the incomparable Lyndia Downie who leads the Pine Street Inn, to prepare guests for cooler temps this fall and winter. In recognition of #WorldHomelessDay this Thursday, we are together providing 100 “Empowerment Coats” which convert into sleeping bags, and will be distributed to Pine Street Inn guests on this week. As my mother Myra Kraft often said, “Josh, your worst day is still better than most people’s best day.” When help was needed, she got busy, and I was happy to do the same yesterday with many like-minded good people, including Ed Cameron who runs Pine Street Inn’s outreach programs, and Becky Crawford Crawford, an old friend from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston days and oversees development at Pine Street.

With demolition complete, we're excited to be working with O'Connor Capital Partners at 104 Main Street in #Watertown, beginning the foundations for a 142-unit, mixed-use, #PassiveHouse development! The 104 Main Street Residences include the new construction of a 4-over-2 podium structure for market-rate and affordable apartments and the renovation of row houses on Cross Street, dating back to the 19th century, turned luxury into 5 luxury townhouses. Additionally, the project will add a 10k sqft public path linking Main Street and Pleasant Street that will have room for art installations and lead to the development's retail spaces. Another step closer to completing The Nest's new home! Congratulations to the The Wheeler School and our team on recently topping off this new two-building, early-education center! It was the highlight of our workday to invite students in The Nest program to sign beams, meet our team, and check out some of the construction equipment on site. This exciting project will soon followed by another at the Wheeler Farm, an Aquatic Center, consisting of a 8-lane lap pool, splash pad, and pool-house. We had a wonderful evening at ULI Boston/New England's Tour & Reception of The Newbury of Brookline, where our very own Jim Tracey joined a great panel of industry leaders and project partners! In addition to discussing the future of senior housing and the history of this project, we enjoyed walking through the campus that our team has worked hard to bring to life over the past two years. Congratulations to our team and partners on a job well done — The Newbury looks incredible! Just off the #Sagamore Bridge, the exterior of POAH Communities' Cape View Apartments is coming together with classic Cape Cod design elements like shingle, lap siding, and gabled roofs. Inside, our team is working hard to complete each of the three-story building's 42-units. The pre-certified, #PassiveHouse structure will be fully affordable and house a community room, mail room, library, outdoor entertainment area and basement storage for its residents.
