Great job, Air Force. The Delta has been tested by the Air Force and the Army for airborne operations. Since May 2024, the detachment has moved 398 bundles, with an overall weight of 396,329 lbs consisting of a whole blood total of 597 liters. These bundles were airdropped during 28 missions in support of humanitarian aid and the Eastern Syria Security Area, reinforcing the parachute riggers’ role as key enablers for the entire region. https://lnkd.in/g8MD8Cxg

MDA provides blood to hospitals nationwide and is also responsible for supplying blood to the IDF for those wounded on the battlefield. This is a truly groundbreaking development: Israel is one of only three countries in the world, alongside Norway and the USA, where whole blood transfusions can be completed on the battlefield itself. “Today, whole blood units are supplied to every military helicopter, military mobile intensive care unit, MDA air ambulances, and certain special units out in the field. https://lnkd.in/g67_acaz

The heroes of Ukraine are courageously transporting blood to the front lines to stabilize critical patients before transferring them to advanced care facilities. The nonprofit groups are bravely risking their lives to save others in Ukraine's fight for freedom. The Delta is actively used at numerous stabilization points across Ukraine, and the Delta Development Team, along with generous donors, has been supplying medical equipment to enhance blood capacity on the battlefield.
