MTEC is thrilled to announce a Request for Project Information (RPI) in support of the upcoming Cellular Therapies and Transfusion Medicine in Trauma and Critical Care (CTTACC) conference! This is a unique opportunity for MTEC member organizations to be selected for podium time during a company lightning round at #CTTACC2025 on May 7th in Scottsdale, AZ. - Submission Deadline: April 4, 2025, at Noon ET - MTEC membership is required for submission.   CTTACC has been at the forefront of advancing cell therapies, novel interventions, and blood products for critically wounded and ill patients. This year’s theme is Battlefield Strategies for the Care of Wounded Warfighters, and MTEC, along with awardees under the Armed Forces Institute of Regenerative Medicine (AFIRM), is a key supporter.   Selected presenters will receive 5 minutes of podium time to highlight their technology, company, and development efforts in front of key stakeholders. Special thanks to Jim Sergi and Jill Sorensen for pioneering our presence there.   Event Highlights: ·    Registration exceeded 1,570 participants. ·    We hosted over 700 confirmed meetings with investors and strategic partners. ·    Greater than 50 virtual meetings were conducted on February 4th and 5th, 2025. ·    Global impact with attendees from over 30 countries. ·    Over 50 government trade, nonprofit organizations and academic incubators participated. ·    More than 40 leading academic institutes joined us.   Key Sessions and Engagement: We are grateful to our Programming Partners, including Bullpen, CUBRC, and Bessel.   ·    Understanding the Benefits of Conducting Clinical Trials Down Under – The Australian Clinical Trials Ecosystem engaged over 140 participants on Monday evening. ·    Our key opinion leader-led educational programming featured distinguished speakers from venture capital, private equity, institutional banking, FDA legal, life science insurance, NIH, and DoD, attracting more than 400 attendees. ·    The Bullpen on Deck Pitch Competition, co-hosted by MTEC, showcased 14 impactful life science companies, which was overwhelming successful with standing room only. ·    Catalyzing Impact: Closing the Funding Gap for Seed-Stage Medtech, co-hosted with Bessel, saw enthusiastic engagement from over 100 industry leaders on Thursday. ·    A Kickoff Welcome Reception at the Larkspur Courtyard by Marriott Hotel set the stage for an outstanding week of networking.

We’re honored to have been awarded $3.5 million from the U.S. Department of Defense through the MTEC | Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium MPAI program to optimize enhanced cryo-storage capabilities unique to manufactured human red blood cells (mRBCs) and complete some important product development activities.   With this prototyping award, we will optimize our cryo-preservation approach, expand our clinical strategy and trial design to include an acute bleeding indication, and refine our FDA IND-enabling pre-clinical studies.   This work will be done in collaboration with the University of Colorado’s CU Center for COMBAT Research, Department of Emergency Medicine, and Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics; and Emory University School of Medicine.   Read more here: https://bit.ly/43aJRPq   #RedBloodCells #Innovation #CellTherapy #LifeSciences
