Congratulations to the apprentices from the TechOps ASM Apprenticeship Program who were recently hired into full-time roles! The TechOps Apprenticeship Program, which Delta started in 2023, provides on-the-job training to students in their final semester at any of the Part 147 A&P schools that Delta partners with. The program spans six months and provides apprentices with practical experience in the procedures, practices, materials, tools and equipment generally used in aircraft maintenance. The program pairs apprentices with TechOps teams at the BOS, JFK, LGA, SEA and LAX airports. To qualify, students must have already completed their general curriculum and either their airframe or powerplant portion of their schooling. The program does not guarantee a full-time position at completion but offers cohorts invaluable experience that helps guide their path into the industry.
