Project Time-Lapse! Phase I of Denargo Market broke ground 10-months ago and it’s incredible to see the work that has taken place on-site. From site-wide environmental cleanup to the installation of the largest detention volt in the state, the team has been pushing since we broke ground last September. With the first curb and gutter appearing, you can see the vision beginning to come-to-life. Denargo Market has always been a magnetic location. For much of the 20th century, this site was home to Denver’s largest food market, housing more than 500 grower stands. In July of 1971, however, a four-alarm fire destroyed the market, and the site became largely industrial or vacant. Returning this area once again to a vibrant gathering place, the new Denargo Market will be a day-to-night destination for all ages featuring a diverse mix of office, residential, dining, shopping and play opportunities alongside the South Platte River.
