About us
Denver Children's Advocacy Center (DCAC) serves children who have been sexually abused, neglected, or traumatized by witnessing violence. DCAC provides friendly, family-supportive services in one central location or close by. Our mission is to: prevent abuse. strengthen families. restore childhood. Our goal is to ensure that every child in Denver and neighboring counties who has been traumatized by sexual abuse, or by witnessing homicide or domestic violence receives immediate, compassionate and effective investigation, assessment and, if needed, mental health treatment. DCAC never charges for its services and we never place time limits on healing.

Learn about our Rapid Response program! What happens when a report of child abuse is made to the Denver Police? A team of multidisciplinary partners is formed to address the case and one of the first organizations to get a call, in Denver, is DCAC, specifically, our Rapid Response Team. Our Rapid Response Team provides several services including: 🟢 Forensic interviews: Neutral, fact-finding interviews in a welcoming, child-friendly facility. The investigative team observes all interviews. 🔵 Victim Advocacy: Family Advocates work with the family through the entirety of the case by providing immediate crisis support, ongoing support throughout the criminal investigation, and referrals to treatment and community resources. 🟢 Integrated Medical Care: DCAC works with pediatricians who are specially trained to offer a wide range of medical expertise in child abuse and neglect cases. Do you want to support the work of the Rapid Response Team? Donate today to be part of this impactful work! https://lnkd.in/gaKnrsbQ #RapidResponse #ChildAbuseAwareness #ForensicInterviews #VictimAdvocacy #CommunitySupport #DonateToday
