We are pleased to announce that Nicole Sherard-Freeman has been named President of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, effective January 2025. Nicole, who has been with the Foundation since 2023 as Chief Operating Officer, will succeed Richard DeVore as he retires. Ric has been instrumental in shaping the Community Foundation's work over the past few years and will continue as a special advisor through 2024. Nicole brings a wealth of experience from the nonprofit, business, and government sectors, including roles such as Group Executive of Jobs, Economy & Detroit at Work and President & CEO of Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation. Her leadership and dedication to southeast Michigan are recognized across the region. "Nicole's collaborative approach and extensive network will be invaluable as she leads the Community Foundation into the future," said David Provost, Chair of the Community Foundation Board of Trustees.
