“Until last year, the phrase ‘Taco Tuesday’ was technically trademarked, and any restaurant that used it without permission faced the possibility of legal repercussions (though no doubt many of us can name a taqueria or two in our neighborhoods that have been routinely violating that law). Today, thanks to legal-dispute–turned–marketing-campaign initiated by Taco Bell and ad agency Deutsch the phrase is free to use for all restaurants across the US.” Read the interview and be attend our Bravery Session at Advertising Week NY (Wednesday 10.9 on the Insights Stage) to hear from Deutsch’s CCO Matt Ian on how he approached (and what he learned) from this trailblazing campaign. https://lnkd.in/ec5MtBXy

When we launched our rebrand last week, we all knew it was something special and the right moment in time to kick off the next chapter of this awesome little agency we now call Deutsch. What a ride it's been from our scrappy beginnings, to this modern collective of brains, talent and heart. I'm so inspired and appreciative to work alongside so many incredible people. It's also a wonderful bonus to get recognition for it all. Thank you Tim Nudd and Ad Age for the coverage.

Cheers to our amazing partner Andrew Springate for landing a spot on Campaign’s CMO 50! Just like Dr Pepper, you’ve crafted the perfect recipe for success—and we’re all about it. Here’s to continuing to crush it!
Congratulations Andrew Springate for his inclusion on Campaign US’ CMO 50 list. This year's list explores the evolving role of CMOs amid fast-changing consumer trends and praised the honorees for navigating these complexities and setting industry standards in 2024. Andrew is applauded in part for successfully leading Dr Pepper in its quest to attract younger consumers with out-of-the-box flavors like strawberries and cream and interesting partnerships with brands Blue Bell and Krispy Kreme. With the launch of Dr Pepper’s new platform, “It’s a Pepper Thing,” Andrew and team continue to celebrate the diverse fanbase and their common bond— their love for Dr Pepper. We often get the honor of rebranding other companies, but it's much more rare and special when we get to rebrand ourselves! We are now simply Deutsch (the LA is implicit!) Read all about it here: https://lnkd.in/gNBwvBqA And peep my very own AI-created yet intensely personal D!

Yesterday marked a major milestone in our journey—Deutsch LA is now simply Deutsch. This change is so much more than just dropping two letters. It’s a reflection of who we’ve become and the bold, independent path we’re paving. For decades, we’ve pushed boundaries and asked ourselves, ‘Why not us?’ That spirit continues as we embrace what’s next. I am so proud of our team, who each bring something unique to our story, and the community we’re building together. Our industry can sometimes lean toward cynicism, but I could not be more excited for what I get to do every day, and who I get to do it with. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gNBwvBqA

People often ask me why I’ve logged so much time with the same company. My answer is always the same. Nothing about this company stays “the same” except for the outsized ambition of the people within it. The energy that comes from a shared, restless spirit. A chip on our shoulder that always begs the question – “why not us?” A drive to find a different way. To do something new. I’m energized by what this next chapter holds. Excited for our new brand identity. Humbled, to have the opportunity to steward a brand with such a deep legacy forward into the future. Thanks to Ad Age for the kind words. And to every Deutsch’er who paved the way so the future of this company can continue to unfold. Read more here: https://bit.ly/47IvCBB #WeAreDeutsch

REBRAND: Deutsch LA => Deutsch We may have dropped two letters from our name but 'LA' is at the heart of Deutsch's rebrand. Today, long-time Los Angeles leaders, Kim Getty + Karen Costello, are leading one of advertisings' most storied agency brands into the future. This shifts the center of gravity WEST. And we are all in! Deutsch's next chapter will be fueled by the outsized ambition of our people and inspired by the diverse mosaic that makes up the city we love—Los Angeles. 😎 🏝 When you think like entrepreneurs, act with intention, and keep on asking, “Why not us?” and have some of the best designers in the world ahhhhhemmm Adhemas Batista Talin Baharian — Anything is possible. Especially in the land of reinvention. ✨ 🙌 Enormous thanks to the man, the myth, the legend, our dear friend Tim Nudd Ad Age for capturing the energy of this moment! 👉 READ HERE: https://lnkd.in/eMKAJa3J #Deutsch #Rebrand #Creativity #Entrepreneurialism #LosAngeles #reinvention #design
