  • 🩺 In today’s world, we need to meet patients where they are the most comfortable. And for many, #virtualcare can be easier to manage and more convenient than in-person care. Now more than ever, health systems must assess and enhance their existing virtual care strategies to effectively reach more patients and improve the overall care journey. 🌐 The V1C Health System Maturity Model by the V1C Coalition by DiMe consists of three actionable resources to instill confidence in virtual care strategies and five real-world case studies demonstrating the benefits of incorporating virtual first care (V1C) in health systems. With insights from the case studies, you can start evaluating your V1C strategies and learn how other health systems have used the model to assess and develop virtual care strategies in patient care delivery. The model and its supporting resources and case studies: ▪️ Distills knowledge and best practices from healthcare systems and leading V1C providers ▪️ Provides a comprehensive approach to assessing and enhancing virtual care strategies, driving significant improvements in patient care and operational efficiency ▪️ Ensures that health systems are well-informed about the benefits of advanced virtual care solutions and opportunities to uplevel their current strategies Healthcare is evolving. To keep pace, health systems must integrate V1C approaches. Access the resources now: https://bit.ly/4dIjuCx

🚀 During a public launch event today, CancerX launched the final set of resources from the “Advancing Digital Innovation to Improve Equity and Reduce Financial Toxicity in Cancer Care and Research” project – a Digital Navigation ROI Calculator and a Digitally Enabled Patient Navigation Blueprint. Financial toxicity risk after a #cancer diagnosis is unevenly spread. Certain patient populations face unnecessary barriers in accessing specialized cancer treatment and disparities in clinical outcomes, such as higher mortality rates. Patient navigation programs enhance equal access to care, diminish financial toxicity, and improve #health and quality of life outcomes. However, they are not currently implemented at scale due to resource constraints. CancerX’s new, free resources provide patient navigators with the tools they need to develop a business case and implementation strategy for standardized, scalable, and sustainable patient navigation programming. Put these resources into action today: 💻 Use the Digital Navigation ROI Calculator to demonstrate the ROI your system may accrue after investing in digital patient navigation to boost access and reduce financial toxicity. 📝 Use the Digitally Enabled Patient Navigation Blueprint to ensure your patient navigation programming is standardized, efficient, and reimbursable. It also helps you build the business case for using digital patient navigation that improves access to care and reduces patient financial toxicity. The resources prove the value of investing in digital navigation programming to reduce patient financial toxicity, which impacts consistent appointment attendance, treatment plan adherence, access to necessary medications, and, ultimately, survival outcomes. 📚 Access the resources: https://bit.ly/3FUmiy7 American Cancer Society Biofourmis Blue Note Therapeutics Cancer Support Community City of Hope Current Health Family Reach Folia Health: The Home-Reported Outcomes Company Genomate Health Kaiser Permanente The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Lightship Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Our National Conversation (ONC) Oracle Pluto Health Science 37 Sidekick Health Takeda Digital Ventures Tempus AI Touch, The Black Breast Cancer Alliance U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

  • 🎉 We are excited to unveil a series of DiMe’s deep dives, in which we will share in-depth explorations showcasing real-world examples of how members of the DiMe community are using our resources to transform the landscape of digital health. 🔍 Our first deep dive covers atopic dermatitis, a condition that affects up to 2.4% of the world’s population and is often marked by the predominant symptom of nighttime scratching. 🤝 In 2022, ActiGraph partnered with DiMe by joining our Nocturnal Scratch project to tackle this challenge using cutting-edge digital tools and sensor-generated data. By measuring and quantifying nighttime scratching in a patient’s home environment, the project has set new standards in dermatological care with new resources, from deploying scratch digital measures in clinical trials to measures that matter to patients. ActiGraph continued to carry the torch by leveraging these resources and insights in its DECODE Nocturnal Scratch initiative to support patients with atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. 💡 Curious to learn more? • 🌐 In the evolving landscape of digital health, rigorous evidence is key to gaining regulatory approval and ensuring patient safety. Click Therapeutics exemplifies how adopting methodologies akin to drug approval can set a new standard for regulatory success. Click Therapeutics, Inc. successfully navigated the FDA process by employing a rigorous methodology similar to that used for drug approval. This approach not only demonstrated high evidence rigor but also showcased market innovation. By pairing their product, which had no reported treatment-related adverse events in trials, with a leading antidepressant medication, they utilized a novel commercial model. 💡 Click Therapeutics’ approach highlights the importance of rigorous evidence in digital health, setting a benchmark for future innovations in the industry. TL;DR: Adopting drug-alike evidence standards assures regulators of a product's safety and effectiveness, facilitating smoother approval processes. 🔗 Learn more here: https://bit.ly/4cWcamN

  • 🌐 Digital health technologies (DHTs) are changing the way healthcare is delivered and accessed globally. 💡 New findings from DiMe, published in Nature Portfolio, explore how countries are adopting diverse strategies to integrate digital health technologies (DHTs) into national healthcare systems. By analyzing different national strategies, we've identified a "policy full-stack" framework that includes: ▪️ Regulatory authorization: Ensuring DHTs meet safety and efficacy standards ▪️ Product value assessment: Evaluating the clinical and economic value of these technologies ▪️ Pricing and reimbursement: Establishing models that make DHTs accessible and affordable ▪️ Patient access infrastructure: Creating pathways for patients and clinicians to effectively use DHTs This comprehensive approach is critical for scaling DHTs and making personalized care a reality across diverse healthcare settings globally. 📚 Read the findings and learn more about this framework: https://lnkd.in/eFrxHVSB

  • 🧸 Pediatric digital health innovation is challenging. High development costs and a limited commercial market size often deter companies from entering into this under-resourced space. However, the need for specialized solutions for children is paramount. 🔬 Developing digital health technologies (DHTs) for children involves overcoming unique anatomical and physiological differences from adults, requiring tailored design and rigorous testing to ensure safety and effectiveness. But it can be done. Gabi SmartCare achieved priority market authorization and is now collaborating with over 30 children's hospitals across the US. How did they do it? Gabi SmartCare understood the importance of regulatory pathways that recognize and support innovations addressing high-patient needs, giving the organization priority market authorization. 💡 The takeaway: innovating in markets that solve for underserved, high-patient needs can open a gateway to regulatory success. 📘 Read more here: https://bit.ly/4cWcamN
