Asthma assessment faces several challenges, including reliance on memory-based assessments, which can lead to gaps in care. Remote patient monitoring (RPM) can address these issues by providing real-time data and reducing the burden on healthcare teams. Additionally, RPM can improve symptom control and ensure patient adherence to follow-up appointments. For example, Gabi SmartCare's solution offers continuous monitoring and data-driven insights, which can significantly enhance asthma management.

Chronic care management can be considerably improved by remote patient monitoring. Asthma management is an excellent example. How can dosing and treatment plans be assessed solely on memory-based assessments? 🤔 At Gabi SmartCare, we are dedicated to transforming chronic disease management. We are starting with asthma. Our solution aims to tackle the challenges of severe asthma assessment. The current patient journey is broken. The traditional journey relies heavily on memory-based assessments, leading to gaps in care. It occurs from hospital discharge to regular medical exams every three months. Gabi SmartCare bridges these gaps with real-time monitoring and data-driven insights. Our solution addresses several key issues in the current asthma management process: - 👩⚕️ Understaffed Pulmonary Teams: Alleviating the burden on healthcare teams, reducing long wait times. - 🚫 Reduced No-Shows: Ensuring patient adherence to follow-up appointments through remote options. - 🏥 Improved Symptom Control: Helping the 50% of children with uncontrolled asthma symptoms achieve better health outcomes. - 📡 Reliable Monitoring: Eliminating the need to rely solely on parents' memories with our Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) system. - 📞 Workable Telehealth Visits: Enabling effective telehealth visits through continuous monitoring and data collection. Our continuous monitoring guides Albuterol treatment, providing objective data for better diagnosis and management of chronic conditions. 💪

Home screening improves patient prioritization by reducing waiting times, lowering costs, and increasing screening capacity. Gabi SmartCare's solution allows specialists to prioritize patients more effectively, ensuring timely and accurate diagnoses. I got an interesting question from hospital leaders about prioritizing. Many kids experienced sleep disorders and the full recommended test is the PSG. It implies high costs and long waiting list. Home screening improves the prioritization. 🎯 At Gabi SmartCare, we make healthcare more accessible and efficient for everyone. Thanks to Gabi PediarityTM, we can screen the patients for sleep disorders. It allows the specialist to prioritize the patients and optimize the flow of the in-patient sleep test. We are excited to share the successful results from our pre-FDA study: - 500 patients aged 0-18 monitored during a PSG with Gabi. - We validated the feasibility of home screening when EEG is not required. Our solution addresses several pressing issues in the current screening process: - ⏱️ Reducing Waiting Time: The average waiting time for a PSG test is 6-18 months. Gabi SmartCare significantly shortens this duration to a week. - 💸 Cost-Effective Solution: Traditional PSG tests cost over $4,000. Our solution is more affordable and accessible. - 📈 Increasing Capacity: Over 7 million children need screening. Yet only 300,000 are tested annually. Gabi SmartCare increases screening capacity. - 🏥 Improving Diagnosis Rates: 90% of children go undiagnosed due to the complexity and cost of completing a PSG. We aim to change that. - 🎯 Early Detection: Less than 10% of children get a PSG before tonsillectomies. Our goal is to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis for better health outcomes. We believe every child deserves accessible care and early diagnosis, no matter their location. Sleep screening is just one part of what our RPM solution can achieve. 💪

Our CEO passionately unveiled the potential of Gabi Pediarity, revealing how it is set to transform pediatric asthma management by replacing outdated, subjective methods with real-time, objective data, drastically reducing treatment times, enhancing health outcomes, and minimizing school absences for children! 🌟🚀

Did you know that it can take months or even years to define the right treatment for asthma in children? The management of asthma for children is often broken due to a lack of objective data. Let me explain how our solution, Gabi PediarityTM, is set to revolutionize this process. 1️⃣ The Current Challenge: Subjective Data and Prolonged Trials Everything start when the child has regular respiratory events. Based on the current standard of care, physicians rely on parents to track their child using a form. This involves the Asthma Control Test (ACT) questionnaire. Parents filled out this form quarterly. But, this method doesn't work for several reasons: 💥 Parents have a subjective view of their child's health. It can skew the data positively or negatively. 💥 Parents have difficulties to recall all respiratory events over the past quarter. 💥 Parents have many responsibilities and busy lives. It’s not easy to remember every detail about their child’s asthma symptoms. 2️⃣ The Trial and Error Process Based on these subjective ACT forms and quarterly visits, physicians prescribe medications. The dosage and treatment are adjusted every quarter through a trial-and-error approach. When a treatment seems to work, it’s stopped to see if symptoms reappear. This trial and error can take up to 1 or 2 years to identify the right treatment and dosage. 3️⃣ The Gabi PediarityTM Solution: Objective and Real-Time Data This is where Gabi PediarityTM makes a significant impact. With our solution: 👉 Physicians no longer have to rely on subjective ACT forms. They are empowered with data that truly reflects the child's health condition. 👉 Physicians can adjust treatments much faster, without waiting for quarterly visits. They can see the results and improve the child's health conditions. 👉 Parents are relieved from the burden of subjective monitoring. It makes it easier for them to manage their child’s asthma. 4️⃣ Real-World Impact: Reducing School Absences and Improving Lives To give you some perspective, the CDC reported that around 50% of school days missed in the U.S. in 2013 for children aged 5 to 17 were related to asthma. Poorly controlled asthma not only causes discomfort. It also affects a child’s ability to attend school, impacts academic performance, and forces parents to miss work to care for an ill child. Questions for You Have you or someone you know faced challenges in managing a child's asthma?

Let me share a story from our clinical trials that truly highlights the positive impact of Gabi PediarityTM. This moment stands out as a testament to why we do what we do, and it’s a story that continues to inspire our journey. ❤️ During our one of our studies, we encountered a little girl with a pulmonary condition. She needed to go home under oxygen. It’s well known that prolonged oxygen therapy is not advised. It can negatively impact brain and nervous system development. The physicians usually determine the quantity of oxygen based on consultations. This process could take weeks or months to adjust. Because it is challenging to get a clear view of the child’s oxygen needs. 😞 With Gabi PediarityTM, the physician who tried our system was able to wean the little girl off oxygen much faster and more safely. The data of Gabi PediarityTM gave the physician the confidence to adjust oxygen without putting the girl at risk. Thanks to Gabi PediarityTM, this little girl was able to grow up without the prolonged risks of oxygen therapy. Today, she is healthy and thriving. This was our first significant positive impact in the real world, beyond just our vision and clinical studies. ❤️

Exciting times are ahead! 🤩. Like Chrome, Notion, Slack, and other platforms, we are setting up our algorithm API connector. This feature is like extensions for our Gabi Analytics platform. It will unlock a world of possibilities. 🚀 1️⃣ Introducing the Algorithm API Connector 🔌 Our algorithm API connector is designed to connect medical-grade algorithms. These algorithms are also known as Software as a Medical Device (SaMD). Our connector will allow us to integrate advanced algorithms directly into our platform. It will enhance the capabilities and provide more comprehensive care solutions. 2️⃣ The Grail for Software Engineers 😍 As a software engineer at heart, this is the grail for developing additional features in our platform. With this connector, we can: - Develop algorithms to detect bradycardia events, apneas, and other medical conditions. - Add biomarkers directly into our platform. - Add 3rd party algorithms; depending on the specialties of the physicians. 3️⃣ Simplifying the Regulatory Path 🧭 One of the most significant advantages of SaMD is the simplified regulatory path. We can verify and validate these extensions through automated tests based on datasets. Specific inputs should always yield specific outputs, much like a unit test. This makes the process more efficient and reliable. 4️⃣ Expanding Capabilities with Third-Party Algorithms 🤝 I’m incredibly excited about the potential this brings. Not only can we develop our own algorithms, but we can also connect third-party algorithms for specific needs. For example: we could integrate algorithms designed for home sleep tests. 👇 Questions for You! 👇 What types of medical algorithms would be most beneficial to integrate? How do you see the role of SaMD evolving in the future of healthcare?
