For our last employee spotlight of Hispanic & Latiné Heritage month, say hello to Maya Maldonado – Contracts Manager at Discord! Being a part of La Cafetería, our Latiné and Hispanic Employee Resource Group (ERG), has been a great experience for Maya. She has learned a lot and encourages others to embrace being a student of those you work with. Maya believes “there’s so much we can learn from those we work with at all levels of a company, but it starts with asking questions and truly listening. Sitting with others and taking the time to hear about their journeys has not only helped me navigate my own path more easily, but has also deepened my connections with them as individuals. It’s a powerful tool for cultivating meaningful relationships and growth in your career." Maya is encouraged by Discord and La Cafeteria’s strong community of Latiné and Hispanic individuals and allies that give her a deeper sense of confidence and belonging.
