We save & heal lives through organ & tissue donation for transplantation and research in Northern CA and Northern NV.

About us

Donor Network West is a federally designated nonprofit, 501(c)3, organ procurement and tissue recovery organization (OPO) with headquarters in Northern California and Northern Nevada. Established in 1987, we serve more than 13 million people and connect a donor’s gift to those in need in 45 counties in Northern California and Northern Nevada. Organ, eye, and tissue donation offers the hope to heal. The generous decisions of donors and their families allow us to recover and allocate organs and tissues for transplantation and research. We are able to carry out our mission of saving and healing lives thanks to our partnership with 175 hospitals, doctors, nurses, more than 500 funeral homes and 44 coroners and medical examiners. Donor Network West is proud to be a Donate Life organization and an accredited member of the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) and the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). We are additionally members of Donate Life California and Donate Life Nevada. We wish to take a moment to celebrate the life of Tom Dolan, Founder of the Dolan Automotive Group and Reno community advocate, who recently passed this September 12th. Tom was an incredible leader and selflessly dedicated his time, energy, and care to make Reno a better place for all, regardless of their walk of life. His generosity knew no bounds, as did his love for his people and community. The Dolan family released the following statement: "It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Tom Dolan, on Thursday, September 12. He was an incredible part of our family and an amazing pillar of the community. His generosity, kindness, and commitment to bettering the lives of others will be his lasting legacy. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Service details will be shared in the coming days." Thomas S. Dolan was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota, the youngest of eight children. In 1969, he settled in Reno, Nevada, and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 1972. His career in the automotive industry began at Reno Dodge, where he worked for Don Weir Sr. and sold cars alongside his former college roommate and friend, Don Weir Jr. From 1975 to 1982, Tom moved from Sales to Finance Manager to Sales Manager to General Manager at Carson City Dodge-Chrysler and Reno Dodge. In 1982, he moved on to Reno Toyota, where he became the General Manager and Vice President. He eventually purchased the dealership and became the owner of Reno Toyota, which is now known as Dolan Toyota. #TomDolan #DolanToyota #RenoNevada #MyDNWest
