About us
Double Forte is an independent strategic communications and digital media agency representing beloved brands making positive change in the consumer lifestyle, technology, digital life and wine categories. We’re propelled by an unwavering commitment to client service and creativity. With offices in San Francisco and New York City, we’re expert at identifying audiences that matter to our clients, and building results-driven campaigns to help brands connect with stakeholders and achieve business objectives. Our culture is rooted in teamwork, integrity and ownership with good people who support each other. Everyone sweeps the floor at Double Forte. No matter the employee’s level, all staff members do the work that needs to be done. We also invest in our employees by providing mentorship, professional development and leadership training to ensure all employees are life learners and contributors to their teams. We firmly believe in The Boomerang Principle – The idea that organizations that allow and encourage former employees to return have a strategic advantage over those that don’t. And a company with a culture that welcomes people back, improves the culture for the employees currently in the organization. Our wine and spirits division, Double Forte Wine, has a long and stellar reputation throughout California's wine country and beyond. Check out our website to view client case studies and learn more about our work.

Every person on your team comes to your organization with their own story, own upbringing, own cultural context, own lexicon. What is innocuous to one person may be offensive and exclusionary to another. However, understanding and adopting inclusive language across a company is a challenge.. At the same time adopting inclusive language and continuing to evolve that shared company lexicon is the fastest way to operationalize inclusion and make everyone feel welcome. Much research has been done on the benefits of inclusive and diverse workplaces - the bottom line is they have significantly better retention rates and productivity (read performance) than more homogeneous and/or exclusionary (even if you don’t mean to) workplaces. In this episode of the Everything Speaks Podcast, I discuss the critical role language plays in shaping company culture and driving DEI initiatives. Creating a welcoming and accepting workplace is not only the right thing to do but also enhances productivity and employee retention. Both language and behavior are fundamental to a company's culture – the words you choose are just as important as your actions. If you do one thing today, take a few minutes to listen to this episode and learn how you can communicate more inclusively.: https://bit.ly/4ajneJJ #DEI #inclusivelanguage #companyculture #communication #unconsciousbias

This week, Dr. Akilah Cadet and Karen Catlin join the Everything Speaks podcast for the first-ever double-guest discussion! Dr. Akilah Cadet is the Founder and CEO of Change Cadet, an organizational development consulting firm that offers services that support embedding belonging into overall company culture, identity and strategy. Dismantling white supremacy through storytelling is at the core of her work as a leader, speaker, creative director, producer, writer, editor, co-owner of the Oakland Roots and Soul soccer teams, and author of White Supremacy is All Around: Notes From a Black Disabled Woman in a White World. Karen Catlin is a highly acclaimed author and speaker on inclusive workplaces. She has published four books: Better Allies®: Everyday Actions to Create Inclusive, Engaging Workplaces (2019), The Better Allies Approach to Hiring (2020), Belonging in Healthcare (2022), and The Better Allies Way: A Workbook for Being More Inclusive at Work (2024). In this episode, Dr. Cadet and Karen share their work toward inclusivity, meaningful change, allyship, and being an accomplice. They highlight the need for advocates to make their work continuous, and the importance of getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. Both women share their take on allyship based on their lived experiences, and what they believe is the most impactful way to make a difference.
