Last week, members of our Downtown Dallas, Inc. (DDI) team cast their early ballots at Dallas College El Centro Campus, joining thousands across Texas making their voices heard in this critical election cycle. While their experience was smooth, voter turnout in Texas has been unprecedented, with some Dallas polling locations seeing extended wait times. 🗳️ Early Voting Details for Downtown Voters: Now through November 1, Downtown voters have two convenient options for early voting: George L. Allen Sr. Courts Building, 600 Commerce St. Dallas College El Centro Campus, 801 Main St. Please check polling hours in advance and consult the Dallas County Elections website to plan your visit efficiently: https://lnkd.in/g4r7dFyc This election cycle includes key local measures. DDI, along with former mayors, city council members, chambers of commerce, and community groups, opposes Propositions S, T, and U due to concerns about their impact on city services and development. Every vote counts in shaping our city's future. We encourage all Downtown stakeholders to participate – whether during early voting or on Election Day, November 5!

Wendy Noble our Assistant Manager of Homeless Outreach at DDI, spoke last week at the 20th Anniversary of Community Court. The City of Dallas Community Court plays a pivotal role in addressing barriers to community reintegration and fostering a more vibrant and inclusive environment. Across Dallas, five community courts offer specialized treatment programs for veterans and individuals facing substance abuse challenges. Wendy's unwavering commitment to the community allows her to deeply understand the transformative impact of DDI’s Homeless Outreach Team. Every day, the team engages with individuals experiencing homelessness, offering support and essential referrals that change lives across Downtown Dallas. Last week we were honored to join the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, who graciously hosted DDI Board members for an insightful session on the region's economic landscape. The event opened with remarks from Lori K Logan, the 14th President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Lorie shared her responsibilities and the unique challenges and opportunities facing the Texas economy, as well as the diverse district she oversees. Business Economist Mariam Yousuf followed and offered key insights into job growth, economic activity, and projections for the year ahead, giving our board a clear view of the current economic climate and expectations for the future. This engaging evening highlighted the importance of collaboration as we navigate the evolving economic landscape. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect and exchange ideas with leaders who are shaping the future of our region. #myDTD #DDIBoard #FederalReserve
