Leadership for What's Next

About us

Leaders are the greatest levers for winning in an unpredictable world. They create the conditions for success with customers, employees, stakeholders and society. Duke CE's purpose is to help these leaders get ready for what’s next in the midst of uncertainty. We primarily do this through our custom leadership programs, consistently ranked at the top by the Financial Times and Business Week. Previous experiences, right answers and new content are insufficient in addressing today’s challenges. In some instances, these may actually be counter-productive. Leaders need to have the capacity to understand context and how things work systematically. To do this effectively requires more than simply closing knowledge gaps. It requires a more fundamental reorientation and re-wiring to be successful.

Leadership in today's world is about more than just guiding others—it's about evolving, thriving, and leading with resilience. 🌟   We’re excited to announce our new partnership with Nomo Fintech, where we will be leading a transformative leadership program for their senior leaders.   🚀 This week, we kicked off this journey in person at our Duke CE office in London, setting the stage for meaningful growth. Over the next few months, participants will dive into a series of virtual coaching sessions—both individual and group—to help navigate leadership complexities and build resilience for the future. The program also includes a mid-point check-in to evaluate progress, followed by a final reflection event to celebrate achievements and learning.   At the launch, we explored new leadership paradigms, shared experiences, and defined a collective leadership role. Leaders left with a commitment to key behaviors that will guide their leadership journey and amplify their impact on @NOMOFinTech’s future.   We’re excited to witness the ripple effect of their growth—both within Nomo Fintech and beyond—as we help shape the next generation of strong, resilient leaders. 🌍   How do you build leadership resilience in your organization? We’d love to hear your thoughts!   #LeadershipDevelopment #Coaching #FutureOfWork #DukeCE #EmpoweringLeaders #FinTech #LeadershipJourney

In today’s rapidly evolving economy, workforce development and lifetime learning are critical components for both personal and professional growth. Our CEO, Sharmla Chetty, joined a panel at Duke University to discuss the intersection of education, industry, and the skills necessary to thrive in an ever-changing job market. Joined by Richard Freishtat, Ph.D. of Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, and Adam Klein of Duke University, Sharmla shared her global perspective on the future of executive education and ways we can adapt moving forward. A special thanks to Dr. Yakut Gazi, Vice Provost for Duke Learning Innovation & Lifetime Education, for providing the opportunity to be a part of this incredible day of insights.

How amazing it is to live in an age of true innovation! By partnering closely with our clients, we help leaders recognize and leverage the strengths of their current culture to spark innovation. Through our programs, we teach leaders how to tap into those cultural touchpoints, using them to connect with and inspire their teams. Recently, Jamie N Jones, Director of Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship, led a transformative full-day session where participants explored how innovation thrives at the intersections of industries and expertise. It’s not just about the latest digital trends—it's about unlocking new ways to deliver value to customers by harnessing the power of culture. The session also highlighted that leadership plays a pivotal role in maintaining momentum toward innovation. Leaders reflected on their discovery versus delivery trends, committing to fostering a culture where experimentation and growth are encouraged. At Duke CE, we work alongside our partners to equip leaders with the tools to cultivate a culture of innovation that enhances both growth and value. #Leadership #Innovation #CultureOfInnovation #DukeCE

Cultural transformation is one of the biggest challenges organizations face today, and we had the privilege of helping a global leader navigate it. Their goal? Shift from a performance-driven, financially focused leadership style to one that’s people-centric and inclusive—while continuing to lead on critical global priorities like decarbonization. We sat down with their leadership team to co-create a suite of programs that 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. By weaving in leadership approaches tailored to their unique needs, we created experiences that built the foundation for a 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 and stronger relationships. The result? Leadership aligned to 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿, using tactics that embed the cultural shift the organization requires to succeed in today’s world. If your organization is facing its own cultural transformation, we’d love to have a conversation about how we can partner to design a solution that empowers your leaders for the future. 👉 Read more about our approach here: https://lnkd.in/encrFm8K #LeadershipDevelopment #CulturalTransformation #PeopleCentricLeadership #LearningAndDevelopment #CustomPrograms #FutureOfWork

We have wrapped up Module 2 of our Enhanced Leadership Program with 20 senior managers from Mondi Group, a global leader in sustainable packaging and paper.   Hosted over three days in Cambridge, this module focused on building a strategic mindset to drive growth and create sustainable, market-leading value. Through strategic execution exercises and practical activities, participants explored how to translate strategy into action and effectively articulate strategy to their teams. The group also had insightful fireside chats with Mondi CEO Andrew King and CFO Mike Powell, applying their learnings directly to the company’s strategy.   A standout session was Duke CE’s Leading in Complexity immersion, led by a former senior MI6 agent and a top hostage negotiator. Participants practiced influencing and communication skills while navigating a complex, rapidly evolving situation.   We are delighted to be partnering with an organization that is as invested in its people as it is in its sustainable growth ambitions. Keep an eye out for more updates from this brilliant cohort when we deliver the third and final module early next year.   Want to equip your leaders for the future?
