Last night, at the AWCA’s annual Fundraising Banquet, Standard Bank Group’s Personal and Private Banking CEO Funeka Montjane was announced as the 2024 recipient of our #WomanOfSubstance Award – an honour bestowed on women leaders who continue to make significant contributions to the Chartered Accounting profession and also lift others as they, too, rise! “The previous recipients of the Woman of Substance Award are women whom I have looked up to my entire career. I wanted to be just like them. This award is an affirmation that I appreciate because we live in a world that does not care to affirm us.
