The state of Virginia issued a proclamation in honor of Earth Force’s 30th Anniversary! Thanks to Sen. Adam Ebbin for initiating this process and being a wonderful mentor for Earth Force students. Sen. Ebbin worked with students in Virginia who used Environmental Action Civics to advocate for changes to state indoor air quality laws after discovering mushrooms growing in their classroom. Read the full proclamation at earthforce.org/blog!

I'll be facilitating this round of EAC core training at the end of July. We'll cover everything from the basics of the Earth Force process to digging deeper into youth voice, authentic civic action, and how to integrate it into your work. This training has no cost associated and stipends are available. If you'd like to join this cohort, please message me or email kdorfman@earthforce.org!

Check out Suzie Boss's article in Edutopia - George Lucas Educational Foundation magazine that explores the power of interdisciplinary project-based learning (PBL). The article highlights a couple of my favorite Earth Force educators and delves into how environmental education can engage students in meaningful projects and when properly framed also equips them with the skills to tackle real-world challenges - all while making school more engaging. Check out the article to learn more about how we’re blending different disciplines to foster a new generation of environmentally conscious leaders.
