Ecosystem Markets. Built for Producers. Backed by Science.
About us
Ecosystem Services Market Consortium (ESMC)/Ecosystem Services Market Research Consortium (ESMRC) is a non-profit public-private partnership that is transforming decarbonization along the agricultural supply chain through collective action. Our 70+ member organizations spanning the agricultural supply and value chains have collaboratively invested, tested, and launched a harmonized, standardized ecosystem services market for agricultural supply chains. Eco-Harvest, ESMC’s voluntary market program, is an accredited end-to-end digitized solution to decarbonize agriculture and to meet additional natural resource needs of corporates who are making significant investments and operational changes to achieve standards-based, reportable outcomes documenting their progress annually. The program incentivizes, quantifies, and verifies (through independent third-party experts) carbon, greenhouse gas and water outcomes annually, paying farmers from the sale of Scope 3 outcomes (impact units) to corporates.

Join ESMC's Alana Pacheco and colleagues from Forum for the Future at the Textile Exchange Regenerative Agriculture Community of Practice August webinar https://lnkd.in/eWd4SyUq discussing an #EcoHarvest cotton project. We'll highlight how two years after initiating a pilot program to explore ecosystem services markets as a mechanism for financing the transition to regenerative cotton in the US, Forum for the Future and Ecosystem Services Market Consortium (ESMC) are eager to get input on planning for the next phase of the pilot from the Textile Exchange community. In this next phase, we plan to explore and test social equity outcomes that feel most pertinent and relevant for industry stakeholders. We value global and cross-industry voices, to ensure that what is tested and shared back to the industry, and program partners, is representative of industry contexts and needs.
