Edge Autonomy’s #optical #gimbal systems integrate seamlessly with third-party solutions, including #ATAK, a suite of software that provides geospatial information and allows for ease of user collaboration. Why is this key for mission success? A true modular open systems approach matters because complex mission environments require adaptable solutions, and innovation demands interoperability. ATAK is an open-source application widely used by the US military, NATO, and law enforcement. When a #UAS operator isn’t trapped in a vendor lock, they have the freedom to choose the assets best suited to the mission. By allowing any operator on your network to take control of our gimbal payload, the UAS becomes another member of the team. The ATAK operator does not need to be a UAS pilot, but can simply provide commands to the gimbal, resulting in near-real-time intel the warfighter can rely on. "Customers don't want to be locked into a single vendor for all aspects of their UAS,” said Allen Gardner, CTO of Edge Autonomy. “They want to bring together the best aircraft, ground systems, sensors, artificial intelligence, and software applications from a variety of providers to meet their mission needs." #EdgeInnovations #MOSA #Gimbals #ISR

Our #PenguinC #VTOL is taking an active role with customers and partners around the globe. Edge Autonomy is proud to support great partners like CAE as we deliver our #UAS capabilities to #SaudiArabia. #ISR #UncrewedSystems #Partnership #EdgeInnovations
Earlier this month at CAE we were pleased to complete the first customer course of our Basic UAS training in Saudi Arabia, a fully synthetic introduction to the fundamentals of UAS crew operations. Thomas Maddock and the team are straight into course number 2! I am pleased to announce that we are now seeking pilot and sensor instructors for the next phase of the training pipeline beginning in Q1 2025. Using both synthetic and live flying on the excellent Edge Autonomy Penguin C VTOL, we are looking for seasoned professionals to join our team in the King Faisal Air Academy. https://lnkd.in/dXEvQtXw The first two adverts detail positions for pilot and sensor operator instructors, in the coming weeks we will be posting for simulator and UAS technicians. Please keep your eyes out, spread the word and get in touch with Adam Hurdus if you have any questions!

We're honored to be awarded a contract to deliver our #Penguin C VTOL uncrewed aircraft systems to the Lithuanian MOD, further expanding our technological presence among allied nations. Lithuania’s Minister of National Defense, Laurynas Kasčiūnas, recently unveiled the integration of drones into the country’s military structures. “We have made the decision to buy drones for our entire army, integrating the National Defence Volunteer Forces, the Military Academy General Povilas Plechavičius Cadet Lyceum, in order to build a drone ecosystem,” said Kasčiūnas. With the ability to take off and land anywhere, the Edge Autonomy Penguin C VTOL can rapidly deploy to support critical missions, even when the environment is harsh or contested. This is especially important in the changing global landscape, and as a proven strategic partner to many MODs and allied governments around the world we understand how agile and adaptable equipment can positively affect the mission. Our #uncrewed technologies are used in nearly 80 countries, and we are committed to providing innovative systems engineered to face the toughest issues our customers face. #VTOL #MissionSuccess #UAS #EdgeInnovations

When the mission is on the move, situational awareness is crucial to overall success. While our #VXE30 #Stalker #UAS conducts overhead #ISR efforts in support of the #USMC, a Marine operator in the BAE Systems Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) can control the aircraft from a strategic position while actively moving. This integration of data from both ground and aerial viewpoints allows the USMC to further extend their intelligence collection capabilities while tracking, identifying, and disseminating target information rapidly and effectively. Proud to be part of industry partners working together to support the warfighter's mission! #TechnologyIntegration #Partnership #SituationalAdvantage #EdgeInnovations
