This #FellowFriday, we’d like to share the work of 2024 Summer Fellow Naichen Zhao: “During my summer internship as a Summer Fellow at The Commit Partnership, my greatest accomplishment was developing comprehensive recommendations for creating equitable postsecondary pathways that would benefit all Dallas ISD students. I ensured that these pathways not only lead to living-wage careers but also address the gender gap in high-demand fields. Specifically, I identified the urgency of increasing female representation in underrepresented occupations, ultimately contributing to more equitable earning potential for all students by the time they reach 25 years of age.” == Don’t miss out on your opportunity to use your unique skill set to make an impact in K-12 education in just ten weeks over the summer. Apply to EP’s 2025 Summer Fellowship by the Priority Deadline, 12/5: https://lnkd.in/g8edT_bW

Have you wondered how EP alumni continue to make an impact in education? Check out this update from Nicholas Freeman, co-founder of Innovare, an ed-tech startup led by EP alums!
Co-founder + CGO | GFSA:Black Founders '22 + Black Founder Fund IV | Edtech leader passionate about equity, fostering growth and social impact via data and design.
My visit last week to DC provided incredible insights into the future of AI in schools and the importance of thoughtful, inclusive policy. It was an honor to represent Innovare and discuss how AI can empower education leadership with members of the Biden-Harris AI policy team, teams from Senators Durbin and Kaine's offices, and Congressman Don Beyer. A few takeaways from my visit: - AI designed with educators isn’t just futuristic—it’s driving real student success today. - Inclusive and supportive policies are essential. Thoughtfulness and intentional implementation can unlock AI's full potential in schools while ensuring its responsible application. - Collaboration and transparency build trust: Co-creating AI with education leaders is essential for making it a tool they embrace, not fear. Thank you to Google for Startups, Danny Navarro, Allison Kronick Stein and The RXN Group, Jon Potter, Kathy Orellana, and Florence Hunter for your partnership and support in making this happen! 💡 How do you see AI shaping the future of education? #ChangemakersInEducation
