November is Youth Homelessness, Outreach, Prevention, and Education (HOPE) Month, a public awareness campaign that highlights youth homelessness, educates the public about how they can help prevent and end it, and increases visibility of critical services available to vulnerable youth nationwide. Hundreds of organizations like ours across the country are participating in events to raise awareness and spotlight resources that inform youth and families on how to access help. ✨This November, we proudly celebrate National American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month!✨ At EOCF, we honor the rich histories, vibrant cultures, and immense contributions of Native communities, especially those here in the Pacific Northwest. Today, we share an image of a traditional Chilkat blanket, which originated with the Tsimshian people of the Northwest Coast and was adopted by the Chilkat Tlingit of Alaska. It’s a powerful symbol of resilience, artistry, and heritage. To honor this month, consider participating in local celebrations, visiting Indigenous art exhibits, and learning more about the diverse cultures in our region.

When parents, teachers, and neighbors vote, they're working together to create strong, supportive communities for every child—including those in EOCF programs—to learn, grow, and thrive. 📫In Washington and Oregon, ballots must be postmarked by Election Day if sent by mail or returned to a ballot drop box by 8 PM on Election Day.
