As concrete has topped out at the new Holiday Inn/Staybridge Suites CBD Houston, we are thankful for our friends at EE Reed Construction, L.P. for hosting a catered lunch in celebration of this important project milestone. With a tight jobsite and even tighter construction schedule, G&B is well position to answer the call of duty. Scaffolding, rough opening waterproofing and CMU scopes are all well underway as we drive this project to completion. Complete scope of work includes: -32,000 grey CMU block -Engineered scaffolding access to a height of 205 feet with multiple open access thruways and stair towers -80,000 SqFt of Parex Watermaster CI -Installation of nearly 400 nail fin flanged windows -3,000 SqFt of tile on Parex MVS CI -Cast stone caps and cornices -Flashings and sealants throughout for a complete turnkey exterior skin G&B is the leading specialty contractor in the state, with offices in DFW, Houston, San Antonio and Austin, along with a large presence in both East & West Texas. Yesterday, the Keystone Structural team officially topped out the 271,000 gbsf Holiday Inn Express/Staybridge Hotel in Downtown Houston! This 17-story hotel used 12,000 cubic yards of concrete, 1,300 tons of rebar, and 125 tons of post tension cable!
