ELBE EUROCLUSTER aims to contribute to the implementation of the European Commission’s New Industrial Strategy for Europe and the SME Strategy for a sustainable and digital Europe. While doing so, the project is also aligned with supporting the implementation of the European Commission’s Strategy for Offshore Renewable Energy, which has the ambition of reaching an installed capacity of at least 60 GW offshore wind and at least 1 GW of ocean energy by 2030, with a view to achieving capacity of at least 300 GW and 40 GW respectively by 2050.

Wind farm operator 𝗢𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 needed a more efficient way to plan offshore wind turbine maintenance, considering factors like weather, technician and material availability, energy production etc. With many parameters that change over time, manual planning via spreadsheets became complex and prone to error. By developing a custom software solution, Otary now 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 calculations and 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 based on real-time data. This is achieved by integrating an 𝗔𝗜 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 and various data sources into a 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿-𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹 for planners. 📬 ELBE EUROCLUSTER'S #NEWS Arrecife Energy Systems has completed testing of its wave energy converter #WEC thanks to the 10,000€ grant from ELBE EUROCLUSTER under the #Innovation Individual Sservices call. 🎯 The aim of the wave tank tests in the project was to evaluate the suitability of the current version of the WEC designed by Arrecife Energy Systems for its deployment in the near-shore and/or onshore environment, such as ports and breakwaters. 🌊 The tests have been performed in the wave tank installed in the Offshore Technologies and Aerodynamics lab of Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP)

📬 ELBE EUROCLUSTER'S #NEWS Thanks to the 10,000€ grant awarded in the framework of the call for #Innovation Individual Services, HMS has been able to acquire a videoscope and strengthen the company's visual inspection competence in dark areas that are difficult to access. Typically, these are the inside of closed profiles, pipes or main gearboxes of #wind turbines. ✅ The acquired equipment allows them to perform a thorough visual inspection without disassembling the component.
