#Construction | Rewind and take a behind-the-scenes look 🎬at the anchor and mooring line installations for our LES EOLIENNES FLOTTANTES DU GOLFE DU LION pilot project! 🎥 🚢 At the end of 2023, offshore work kicked off 16 km off the coast of Leucate and Barcarès, activities for our EFGL project—led in collaboration with Banque des Territoires— marking a key step toward installing three powerful floating wind turbines in the Mediterranean. 👷♂️ Onboard insight: Our engineer Gabriel B. spent over three weeks overseeing the impressive operations happening aboard the Maersk Supply Service's ship,—an unprecedented technical and environmental challenge in France. 🚢 Now, nine anchors and mooring lines (three per floater) are securely placed on the seabed, awaiting the offshore installation of the remaining components to be connected to the floaters. 🔗 What’s next for the final stages of construction this summer? ➡️ Completion of floater assembly in Fos-sur-Mer ➡️ Towing floaters to Port-la-Nouvelle quay for turbine integration ➡️ Offshore installation & mooring line connections Once operational, EFGL’s turbines will power over 50,000 coastal residents— equivalent to the city of Narbonne. Backed by strong regional industry engagement, EFGL is driving the future of floating wind in France, paving the way for projects like our Éoliennes Flottantes d’Occitanie (EFLO), awarded just last year! ⚡ Stay tuned for more project updates! ⚡ #ProudtobeOW

Sobre nosotros
Ocean Winds (OW) is an international company dedicated to offshore wind energy and created as a 50-50 joint venture, owned by EDP Renewables and ENGIE. Based on our belief that offshore wind energy is an essential part of the global energy transition, we develop, finance, build and operate offshore wind farm projects all around the world. When EDP and ENGIE combined their offshore wind assets and project pipeline to create OW in 2019, the company had a total of 1.5 GW under construction and 4.0 GW under development; OW has been adding rapidly to that portfolio and is now on a trajectory to reach the 2025 target of 5 to 7 GW of projects in operation, or construction, and 5 to 10 GW under advanced development. In 2024, OW’s offshore wind gross capacity already operating, contracted or with grid connection rights granted reaches more than 18 GW. OW, headquartered in Madrid, is currently present in 8 countries, and primarily targets markets in Europe, the United-States, selected parts of Asia and Brazil. Today OW has a global presence, integrating diverse people all over the world. We value and promote this diversity as a factor creating value and innovation. We recognize that multiplying differences is to go further, to bring together points of view and ways of seeing the world, to integrate all aspects, to be consciously inclusive, particularly by means of profiles, paths and experiences that bring value and enable us to do what we have to do best. We foster diversity and inclusion by ensuring equal opportunities as an employer, which we also encourage in our suppliers. LET’S COWRITE THE FUTURE OF ENERGY TOGETHER!

#Interview | Advancing #OffshoreWind in Brazil: Let’s Keep Pushing to Make it a Reality! 🌊 Brazil has taken an important step with the approval of its offshore wind legal framework last year—but it’s just the beginning. Now, the focus shifts to what comes next: defining regulations, launching area concessions, and advancing feasibility studies to turn potential into action. 🚀 Collaborating with regulators, experts, and local partners, OW Ocean Winds is paving the way for a sustainable and thriving offshore wind industry. With a strong commitment to local value creation, we are ready to help Brazil transition from ambition to execution. This new industry will not only contribute to Brazil’s clean energy future but also drive economic growth, job creation, and green reindustrialization. The momentum is here—2025 could mark the start of offshore wind concessions, aligning perfectly with Brazil’s role as the host of COP30. Catch the full article by CanalEnergia and hear more from insights from our Head of Business Development for Brazil and South America, Rafael P., in the comments below! 👇 Let’s keep the conversation going on how Brazil can lead the way in offshore wind energy! 🌍 #ProudtobeOW #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #Leadership

On this International Women’s Day, we recognize the road ahead - but let’s also take a moment to reflect on the progress we’ve made at OW Ocean Winds this year! 2024 has been a year of positive changes, and here is where we stand today: ☑️ 37% of our workforce is women, with women making up only 21%* of the wind energy sector – a gap that still needs closing! ☑️ 49% of new hires are women. ☑️ 18% promotion rate for both women and men – a testament to our commitment to providing equal opportunities and fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone, regardless of gender, can thrive and succeed. At OW, we’re taking actions that make an impact – from promoting #STEM to the next generations, to securing an inclusive environment where women are empOWered at all career stages. So, today, we renew our commitment to equity – going beyond numbers and building a culture where everyone has the opportunity to grOW, no matter their gender. Because only together, we can break barriers and shape a diverse, stronger, and wind-powered future. 🌬️ *IRENA; Wind Energy: A Gender Perspective #ProudtobeOW, #IWD2025, #WomenInEnergy #Womenleaders #internationalwomensday, #offshorewind

#ExcitingNews | Key steps for the development of #OffshoreWind taken in South Korea !⚡🇰🇷 Last week, South Korea passed the Offshore Wind Power Special Act, with which the country aims to streamline permitting, boost government support, and attracting private investment. This regulation is a step in the right direction towards the development of #offshore wind, as well as its related domestic supply chain. At OW Ocean Winds, we’re proud to contribute to this momentum, as our 1,125MW bottom-fixed #Hanbando project just secured its Electricity Business License (EBL)—contributing to the South Korean government's renewable energy deployment target of achieving 125.9GW by 2038. Clear regulations and faster permitting to pave the way for a thriving offshore wind industry—South Korea is making moves toward a clean energy future! 🌍 Read all about the EBL from our Hanbando project in the comments below! 👇 #ProudtobeOW #EnergyTransition

#Construction | ☀️Spring has sprung and so has the next phase cable installation at our Îles d’Yeu and Noirmoutier project in France! 🌊 On March 1st, work resumed on the second phase of inter-array cable installation, continuing for about four months after the first phase kicked off in September 2024. 📏 90 km of cables—roughly the distance from Ibiza to Mallorca—are being installed by LOUIS DREYFUS TRAVOCEAN using locally manufactured components, supporting the national supply chain: ➡️ Cables produced by PrysmianGroup 📍Seine-et-Marne ➡️ Cast iron cable protection manufactured by AFC Redon 📍Ille-et-Vilaine ➡️ Ballast rocks sourced from Vendée quarries and processed by Nexstone ⚓ A project driving local economic growth: from material storage at the port of Saint-Nazaire to monopile installation by DEME Group, each stage of the project creates jobs and regional opportunities. Once completed in late 2025, this project will deliver clean, renewable energy to 800,000 people, reinforcing France’s commitment to a sustainable energy future. ⚡🔋 📢 Next step: Turbine installation! 🏗️🌬️ What a great opportunity to share some more pictures from our first round of cable installations last fall – check them out below! 👇 📸 EMYN © A.
