This image from 2008 has an ECA Superintendent's truck in the foreground, and a GE F-Class gas turbine in the background. We go through cycles where 90% of our work is expansions & upgrades of existing facilities. In the current one, however, we have major greenfield projects in the data, power, automotive, and food & beverage markets. This work, in 3 states, would not be possible without the willingness of our Superintendents and foremen to make remote sites their second homes. Many thanks to our traveling workforce, working with locals and other travelers, to deliver for our customers.

In the article below, ECA moved to the #1 Ranking in the Kansas City Business Journal's list of Electrical Contractors; the list is based on total local, licensed electricians... we are excited about that! But while we are pleased, it doesn't mean a thing if our customers don't continue to rate ECA #1 for safety, quality, efficiency, and timeliness. So a short celebration will be had, then it is back to work... and as an ESOP we will all share in both. Link for KCBJ subscribers: https://lnkd.in/grmaSnc9

It is Thanksgiving week - who should the employees of ECA thank first? Our customers, whose faith in our work has made for a successful 2023? Of course, that comes first. But right behind our customers is the ownership & management team now phasing themselves out as we transition to an ESOP. Over the past 15 years they expanded our work base from largely automotive & power generation to a diverse industrial mix. So when ECA's largest customer over the past 5 years - by a staggering factor of 3x compared to customer #2 - comes to the end of a long build-out process, ECA doesn't miss a beat. We've seen growth in 2023 in data centers and food & beverage, as well as other long-time industries and customers, and get through what otherwise could have been a significant business re-trenching. THAT is something to be thankful for... wishing you the best on your holiday! - Andy Haun, P.E., Senior Engineer
