For a condition that impacts half the people on the planet who live to it, we don’t talk enough about #menopause. We really should. One in 4 women have quit their job or thought about doing so because of menopause symptoms – and 44% of those are senior leaders, according to Korn Ferry.    Menopause can have vastly different impacts on people – and when symptoms include anxiety or depression, the opportunity for missing a diagnosis is high, opening the possibility of higher employer and patient medication costs while leaving the root cause unaddressed. Studies have shown few currently-practicing physicians are well trained on menopause, and most medical residents are uncomfortable discussing it.    Elektra Health was built to smash menopause taboos and empower women to retake control of bodies that feel and act differently. Co-founders Jannine Versi and Alessandra Henderson are outspoken advocates, and they’ve built a resource that teaches, supports, and guides, along with an active community of people in perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause. This World Menopause Awareness Month, Beanstalk is proud they're one of our trusted Partners.   If you want a platform that supports tenured team members and diversity at the top, the Beanstalk Benefits Suite was built for you. Exciting to see one of Elektra's early partners, Mass General Brigham Health Plan (MGBHP), continue to expand their women's health portfolio with the addition of a customized pelvic health offering through Sword Health. Sword joins Poppy Seed Health (pregnancy, postpartum, and loss), Lyra Health (behavioral health), and Elektra Health (menopause and midlife) to deepen support for underrepresented areas of women's healthcare. Steven Tringale, MGBHP President, said it best: “Our commitment to women’s health reflects our legacy of going beyond traditional coverage to support whole-person care and builds on the excellence of women’s health initiatives in Massachusetts. As part of an integrated healthcare system, we can bring a comprehensive focus to meet a wide variety of health needs for our members.” The future of women's health is bright thanks to pioneering organizations like MGBHP. 💜🚀

Mass General Brigham Health Plan today announced a new, customized pelvic health offering that expands its women’s health portfolio. What a way to start the week 💜 Grateful for... ✨ Health plans like EmblemHealth supporting their female population ✨ Clinicians like Nora Lansen, MD providing comprehensive, evidence-backed menopause care ✨ Menopause Doulas like Beth Braun supporting patients with ongoing guidance, education, and lifestyle support ✨ Patients who so graciously share their stories to help us smash the menopause taboo — because as our co-founder Alessandra Henderson likes to say... "If you whisper it, you shame it. If you shout it, you conquer it."

Bringing women's health - from menopause to Medicare - into the 21st century. Because women deserve better.

No better way to start the week than reading (and rereading) the incredible testimonials from our patients. Shout out to Beth Braun and Nora Lansen, MD and Erin O'Connor and the entire Elektra Health team for showing up to meet women where they are and deliver 10/10 care and support EVERY SINGLE DAY. The ability to prescribe meds is important but INSUFFICIENT. Our combination of medical care + personalized education, community, and support -- including with someone's existing providers -- is what brings women to Elektra after they've tried various direct-to-consumer online Rx options. Also props to EmblemHealth and dozens of other health plans who have grasped that their female members are DESPERATE for help and they need to do something about it.

✨ EXCITING NEWS ✨ In a significant stride towards expanding access to menopause-centered midlife care, Elektra is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with Springbuk, the leading health intelligence platform for employers and benefits advisors. Sprinbuk’s Activate marketplace matches employers with possible partners based on their population’s health needs or risks, showing them potential opportunities in savings and program engagement – all in one place. Elektra worked closely with Joy S. Powell, CPA, CMA, James Norris, CPA, CGMA, and Carrie Hardy to bring this exciting partnership to life. In collaboration with the Springbuk team, we developed a customized card within the Activate platform that identifies the number of members in the employer’s population who may qualify for menopause care, and a 12-month savings opportunity estimate. This targeted opportunity identification provides quick and immediate value for employers and consultants looking to add to their benefits portfolio. “Elektra is thrilled to partner with a leading organization like Springbuk to deliver our unique solution to the millions of employees who are navigating menopause and midlife health. The Springbuk team is nimble, responsive, and truly focused on providing exceptional results to its customers and partners.” — Jannine Versi, Co-Founder & CEO of Elektra Health Interested in learning more about Springbuk? ➡️ springbuk.com/activate  Interested in learning more about how Elektra works with employers? ➡️ Reach out to jversi@elektrahealth.com
