“Driving Cybersecurity Workflows with AI-Enhanced Software Development - with Frederic Rivain of Dashlane and Tsavo Knott of Pieces” https://lnkd.in/d7yBdJUS Cybersecurity remains a critical concern for business leaders globally. The Office of Management and Budget reports that federal agencies disclosed over 32,000 cyber incidents to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency in 2023 alone. While government efforts show progress, with 12 agencies scoring 90-100 on cybersecurity metrics, challenges persist as many recommendations to those same federal agencies since 2010 remain unimplemented. Emerj Senior Editor Matthew DeMello recently engaged with Frédéric Rivain, CTO of Dashlane, and Tsavo Knott, CEO of Pieces, to discuss the importance of integrating security early in the software development process. Both leaders emphasize the need for balancing security with resource constraints, particularly in startups, while ensuring user-friendly solutions to drive adoption. Pieces, an AI-driven platform, supports developers by enhancing cross-platform workflow efficiency. Dashlane, a leading password manager, focuses on convenience-driven security adoption. This article analyzes three critical insights for business leaders across industrial sectors yielded from their conversation: - Prioritizing user convenience to drive security adoption - Developing cross-platform tools to enhance workflow continuity - Prioritizing early security integration in development #Cybersecurity #TechLeadership #SoftwareDevelopment #AI #PasswordManagement #B2B #SaaS #RiskManagement #CrossPlatform #SecurityIntegration #CISecurity #CloudSecurity #WorkflowAutomation #CyberDefense #DataProtection #EmerjMediaServices

“The Hard ROI in Autonomous Logistics - with Tomas Ohlson of Einride” https://lnkd.in/e2kjZt9f Einride, established in 2016 and based in Stockholm, Sweden, is at the forefront of the transportation industry with its focus on electric and autonomous vehicles. The company is driven by a mission to tackle climate change, the most significant challenge of our time, by innovating sustainable transportation solutions. This initiative aligns with their vision to forge a more sustainable and desirable future. The importance of transportation in the U.S. economy is underscored by its significant contribution of 9% to the GDP, amounting to $2.3 trillion in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics. The Environmental Protection Agency highlights transportation as the largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, an issue that must be addressed promptly given the projected global cost of climate change ranging from $1.7 trillion to $3.1 trillion annually by 2050, as reported by the World Economic Forum. Recently, Emerj Artificial Intelligence Research Senior Editor Matthew DeMello recently sat down with Tomas Ohlson, the company's Founding Engineer, on the 'AI in Business' podcast to discuss the climate impact – and moral imperative – of autonomous vehicles in the coming years. The following article will focus on two critical takeaways from their conversation on what autonomous transportation will mean for the bottom lines of the many industries that depend on logistics: - Recognizing the right place in workflows for human judgment and supervision - Defining the role of human judgment in freight transportation processes #Einride #Transportation #Sustainability #ElectricVehicles #AutonomousVehicles #ClimateChange #SupplyChain #Logistics #Innovation #Technology #Sweden #AI #Business #GreenhouseGas #Economy

"Webinar: Investing in the Future of Automotive Tech in Canada - Part 1 & 2" https://lnkd.in/d6FQnhXQ In a recent webinar in partnership with Emerj Artificial Intelligence Research and Canada’s Automotive Parts Manufacturer Association, LeddarTech- Automotive Software: Low-Level Sensor Fusion & Perception President & CEO Frantz Saintellemy explained the difference that AI and cloud computing are making in driving acute environmental awareness of the intelligent driving systems currently available in vehicles: “And this is what we make [at] LeddarTech comes into play. Our software really takes existing hardware, augments its capabilities and functionalities to support the driver and their driving functions, such as basic safety, basic awareness. The car is fully aware with our software, 24/7, in any scenario, with 360 degree coverage. But then on top of that, can we add convenience functionalities or features that can be called upon in software? For example, you're stuck in traffic, and there's nothing to be done about it: can this pilot take over and navigate through the traffic? And our technology can enable that.” - Frantz Saintellemy, President and CEO of LeddarTech & Recipient of the Order of Canada

"Webinar: Investing in the Future of Automotive Tech in Canada - Part 1 & 2" https://lnkd.in/d6FQnhXQ In a recent webinar with Emerj Artificial Intelligence Research, LeddarTech- Automotive Software: Low-Level Sensor Fusion & Perception CEO Frantz Saintellemy discussed the investment opportunities in Canada’s automotive sector, highlighting how AI and cloud-based technologies are advancing development cycles and allowing manufacturers to test every facet of their product in highly advanced virtual environments before they go to market: “There needs to be a better way to do things. So what is different? What's different now is through clusters of cloud computing, you can now recreate everything that you live in the driving world, in the real world, in this cloud domain. Now you can recreate an environment and allow the car manufacturer to build their vehicles, build the functionalities, test them, validate them online, and have a zero disconnect between the SOC. So therefore what gets built on the cloud has a one-to-one match into the chip that then gets produced, printed into the vehicle. So now car manufacturers can actually start much earlier in the cloud and collapse the development cycle from a matter of a year or two, as opposed to five to seven years.” - Frantz Saintellemy, President and CEO of LeddarTech & Recipient of the Order of Canada

"It'll be fantastic, I'll have 100 million AI employees for my startup at low cost!" Oh, friend, by the time a megaswarm of agents can be marshaled by any human/AI, the singularity will be here. People literally think this'll be "life as usual." The economy and society will be hurled into total change and untold complexity. You won't be running your little legaltech startup when a trillion strong AIs are hurling themselves through the internet lol.
