How can medical technology improve our #health and what are its limitations? Answers to these questions will be provided in a public panel discussion on October 29 at COSMO Science Forum #Dresden. The event featuring Prof. Larysa Baraban from Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) will start at 6pm at the COSMO. In addition, Katharina Langton and Lilli Meseck will also be taking part in the discussion. Langton is leading the Midwifery Bachelor of Science program at TU Dresden as Academic Director. Meseck is a midwifery student in her fourth year. ⚡Driving RIs toward energy resilience and a sustainable future!⚡ The 2nd FlexRICAN Consortium meeting brought together partners from seven countries at the Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) ERIC in the Czech Republic on September 19-20. The meeting was a solid milestone in bringing partners together and familiarising them with the RIs involved in the project. Fruitful discussions and planning of the next steps are crucial to the success of the project and will pay off in the upcoming months! In addition, this time, the participants were able to learn more about ELI ERIC and get familiarised with the facility during the site visit. Big thanks to our partners at ELI - Extreme Light Infrastructure for the wonderful hosting and the photos shared in the post! Funded in Horizon Europe, FlexRICAN aims to strengthen the energy management of major RIs, building a more sustainable, resilient future for Europe’s energy grid. This morning Peter Christianen and Britta Redlich opened the 13th International Conference on Research in High Magnetic Fields (RHMF2024) with over 100 guest from all over the world.  RHMF 2024 is a satellite conference to the International Conference on Magnetism 2024, held in Bologna last week. Over the years, RHMF has evolved into a recognized international event, devoted to the advances in research using high magnetic fields, and to the necessary magnet technology and scientific instrumentation. For this year’s edition, the programme consist of invited and contributed 45 lectures and 47 poster presentations which will give a complete overview of the most recent progress in these areas. The scope of this conference covers traditional and new topics on fundamental and applied physics and related subject areas where high magnetic fields play a crucial role. We hope that new ideas and collaborations will spring from them and everybody will enjoy your stay in Nijmegen.
