For these advisers, finding care was just one part of the process in addressing their MSK injuries — paying for it became yet another exercise in utilizing benefits and their extensive healthcare knowledge. Eric Silverman, Joey Stone, Mark Testa and David Contorno share how utilizing a cash-pay model helped them receive care faster, in part three of "Road to Recovery," an ongoing series about advisers' experiences with MSK. "It's like reference-based pricing, but there's no balance billing and no shock to the provider, and we've saved members the agony of collection calls," says Joey Stone. https://bit.ly/4iQoZ5e

Employees’ paychecks aren’t going as far as they used to — and it’s up to their organizations to help them bridge the gap. Fifty-nine percent of employees pre-plan which of their bills will get paid first while waiting for their paycheck, according to a survey from Talker Research on behalf of earned wage access platform EarnIn. Of those making less than $75,000 annually, 51% say their paychecks are pre-spent before they even reach their bank account — which is proving to be entirely unsustainable. To best support their workforce and help them be financially stable both in the present and in the future, employers and HR leaders will have to push for more expansive benefits, like earned wage access. The CEO of EarnIn shares how to roll out a successful offering. https://bit.ly/3DSGPFs
